Yeah, for example, some users still get moderated for censor bypasses, while some don't. I've heard that full bypasses are allowed and I've also heard that it's not.

I agree. My biggest wonder is really about how they decide to mod. Obviously if someone is harassing another user they have to take care of the situation but with the new set of rules in the current ToU, users can get away with a lot more.

All because they can't prove that he's really ban dodging, even though they know he is. I don't get it. With the old TOU, he would be banned instantly, and he was, multiple times even. It's like an immunity now.

True. I can bet that quite a few more people have reported him for ban dodging by now too.

Yeah, he wants to keep this new ToU so that he can just keep trolling without any consequences. He even made a post in that thread asking the admins to deny Casey's claims. Did you see that? Just wow.
I don't like the new TOU as far as its greatly relaxed stance on flaming and trolling goes. While some leniency would have been welcome from the old TOU, simply allowing flaming and trolling just like that is going too far. The established trolls will welcome the new TOU of course since it encourages their behaviour, but it really seems like the staff didn't care about the TOU-abiding users who enjoyed the decent and civil posting environment of the past when they came up with and rolled out the new rules.

True, since situations like these are always very subjective and there's always that factor known as moderator discretion.

I think what they should have done is given some rules to moderators on how to handle certain situations and stuff. Would have been a lot better than changing the ToU the way they did.

I would hope that it is at least considered in their minds. By the way, LastRambo's posts are obviously pleas so he can keep trolling, like you guys said. I find it immature for him to ask a mod to deny another user's claims on that.

I'm guessing it's because things are getting a little bit too heated there. I can see a major fight or two going on in there if it they idn't purge it.

Perhaps you could consider asking mitu123, her PM was very well formed. But if you'd like to send a longer PM you are certianly welcome to as I appreciate feedback from the community. Â

Interesting, feel free to link me that moderation and I'll be happy to talk with the mod in question. As long as the dialogue was constructive there's absolutely no reason why it should have been moderated.
Additionally, I noticed you guys are talking about bandodgers, if you PM a moderator or an admin with proof of the dodge they should be taken care of.

How exactly do you "prove" it though? I assume that you have visible reasons for being so certain about these users ban dodging. You guys seem so assured that these guys are dodging bans that there must be some sort of proof right?
I feel this the new Terms of Use system is just one big mess, although there's a chance it will get better and make more sense in the future, and it could be just in a rough phase now, right now I don't see that happening, and feel that its best to just revert to the old system. (Or old Terms of Use.) What caused the change was the users taking a survey, and more voted for it and not against it, but right now I think at least some users who voted for it realize it wasn't a good idea, back then I was probably also for the change and not against it, but right now I (and I'm sure some other users out there) realize this change isn't for the better, and right now this site only seems to be turning users away. I also noticed that Dracula said that once changes are made the Gamespot Administration never reverts back to whatever the previous feature was before the change was made, well I think the staff should make an exception for the New Terms of Use, so far it seems best to just have the rules back to the way they were.
