Halo: CE - Wile mechanically great  (enemy AI is excellent, gunplay is great), the game itself is cripped, to the point of insanity, by horribly repetitive level design and attrociously repetitive enemies. Halo 2 blows it away, and so does every single Halo game after it. Half Life 1 also crushes CE's campaign tenfold, and that came 3 years before.

Yup, but GTA4 was trash. GTA5 though looks promising But I refuse to get hyped, that way I can't be let down.

"Was". From what I've played of GTA4 it's HARDLY a 10/10. More like 6.5 at most. 

Any game made by Bethesda are all boring. Morrowind's combat is garbage. The worlds are nice to look at but when after a couple hours it gets dull.

I need to finish SOTC but so far I am not enjoying it as I thought I would. Not a fan of the controls and the world is pretty but at the same time dull. Plus that framerate is sh!t. At least the colossi are awesome.

God of War and God of War II are slightly overrated but mostly when compared to DMC1 and 3 and NG/NG:B.

Prince of Persia 08 while not a AAA game is just not as good as the POP games from last gen. That said, I would love  a sequel if they improved it.

Final Fantasy VIII is still a POS game. KH2 is a POS game.

SM64 is the worst Mario platformer on consoles.

GTA is fun if you ignore the sluggish combat, the routine mission design, and the ridiculous amount of padding that would put their games in line with the nonsense you deal with in jrpgs. Hoorayjg4xchamp

The missions are meh, I love the sandbox. As far as SA is concerned.

I actually liked the missions in GTA4.

I thought they only sucked this gen though. GTA4 and RDR werent that much more bearable than Mafia 2. Ok, I might have gone a bit too far there...

But GTA4 did feel like a chore after a few hours and wasnt even that enjoyable in the first few hours with tutorials ****ing everywhere.

I can see why you would say so. A lot of people praise it like it's the greatest game ever, but it has its fair share of flaws. Luckily for me, though, when I played the game, I knew absolutely nothing about it, so my first impression was surprisingly good.  

For me, even in this generation, outside of RDR, Rockstar has been excellent. Especially GTA. I have over 300 hours of gameplay in Chinatown Wars (PSP and DS versions combined), GTA4, San Andreas, Vice City, Liberty City Stories (somehow) and Vice City Stories and I enjoy playing all of them even today.khoofia_pika

Been ages since I played GTA3 and Vice City, I remember I liked them in the past, but I cant see them having aged very well. Especially not GTA3.

Rockstar are an ambitious developer, but ambition is not always a good thing. While ambition can lead to innovation and/or feature rich experience it also does mean that the dev has to get a lot more things right. Lest you end up with an incoherrent mess of game design like these pieces of shit,
