if your playing through on a round 1 playthrough the killer 7 is far superrior to the BB based on the fact that you are going to spend much less money than if you buy the BB and buy all of the upgrades including the exclusive.
all i ever do when i start a fresh playthrough is find the free butterfly and sell it so i can buy the striker and i have such an easier time.
But, What is the best gun in each category do you think? I know its tough because each gun has its own perks. But if you wanted to be as overpowered as possible, which handgun, machine gun, rifle and shotgun would we want?if your playing through on a round 1 playthrough the killer 7 is far superrior to the BB based on the fact that you are going to spend much less money than if you buy the BB and buy all of the upgrades including the exclusive.

I would say handgun go with the Red nine since it got an exclusive upgrade to 5.0 firepower.
Typewriter got a 10. firepower
Although the semiautomatic rifle has it's advantages over the standard rifle, the first one actually has an exclusive upgrade firepower of 18. while the semi got a firepower of 15.
The striker would be your best bet for firepower with 12, which the riot has a firepower of 10. exclusive and the standard shoutgun is 8.0
personally i never have been wowed by the heavy hitter of the bunch. im more of a economist, i use weapons like the punisher, killer 7 tmp and semi auto rifle because they are much more well rounded and cheaper.
(PS the bolt action rifle ifs aweful in the game cube version of the game, the exclusive is only 3 more hit points more than the semi auto rifle without an exclusive! thats ridiculous i could shoot 3 shots off in the time it takes the B.A one to shoot 1)
but i do agree with you being a gun at the end of the game doesent always make it the best.
in RE5 the sig is the worst machine gun in the game by far but it is recieved last. the MP5 is by far much better.
the red 9 went up to 6.5 damage in the ps2/wii/360/ps3 version Wolfman_chopperYou mean in the HD versions?
I like to use more of the weaker guns just for the challenge, sometimes using the most powerful guns available just isn't as funTriniPlayerI agree. Overkill is a bit boring. But the P.L.R. was hard to get, and it looked kind of cool. So i used it a lot. But fighting Salazar, for example, its not the same when you one hit him. He is one of the funnest parts where you actually have to pull yourself together and use everything you have. But beating him in one hit takes a whole ordeal of frustration...... albeit fun and the sense of accomplishment afterward. Going back on topic, I would like to have weak guns and barely enough ammo just for that "survival horror" sense that overkill..... overkills.

Exactly, the P.L.R was nice to play around with but after awhile is really got boring.I agree with the last part but If I'm playing a totally brand new game like RE6 then I'm gonna need all the help I could get lol.

Unless you were playing pro, which was pretty much one hit and your down it wasnt to unforgiving. Just from veteran to Pro is unbelievably steep, veteran was still really easy. Then to add to it you had infinite ammo and other guns that just went...... wayyyyyy to far. Thats like overkilling overkilling that was already overkilling.
