yup. i agree. they dont necessarily even have to be liscensed songs to be good.

Well the FF game soundtracks tend to be well recieved, and I do admit they do have some rather enjoyable stuff on them

I also quite like the soundtrack done for the Scott Pilgrim vs The World game, done by the 8-bit band Anamanaguchi since the whole game was meant to have a retro feel to it

My favorite game soundtracks have to be: Demon's Souls, Alan Wake, and Skyrim. Those games have incredible soundtracks.

My all time fave. is Halo, Gears of War, Uncharted, Heavy Rain & Mass Effect OST.

I'll all of the best but it's so many, I just said the bests of the best, Uncharted 3 OST especially the song Something better. 

I forgot about Uncharted, those games have incredible soundtracks.

I like soundtracks, good music is always nice in a game. I have a lot of favorite songs I heard in soundtracks.

Love game soundtracks, its something I always look forward to when I buy a new game.

Favourite Game OST is Mass Effect 2.

One that always comes to mind when ppl ask about good game music are the two Tomb Raider games Legend & Underworld.

I loved the soundtracks for Red Dead Redemption, all the Ezio Assassin's Creeds, and the Mass Effects. The game developers of these games put in music that increased my immersion into the game.

I downloaded the soundtrack from the first Ratchet and Clank game the other day, it's fantastic.

It's like a mix of IDM, Drum and Bass and Classical music
