April 21st:

Animal Collective - Transverse Temporal Gyrus

Back in 2010, Animal Collective (this time with members Deakin, whom was absent for the creation of Merriweather Post Pavillion, but minus member Panda Bear) worked with long time visual collaborator Danny Perez in putting on a performance art piece in the Guggenheim Museum New York City wherein various lightshows and psychedelic visuals were projected in and across the rotunda of the builing whilst pre-recorded pieces by the group played, with the group themselves wandering around and acting about in the rotunda dressed in rabbit suits. For this years Record Store Day, the group are issuing a limited edition 12"that features some of the work they did for this performance art piece, with a somewhat altered digital version of the project and release projected for the near future.
