That collectable figure is awesome. :P
How is the new album? I've never listened to a Deadmau5 album before.
It's a lot more electro than his previous works, and even includes 2 dubstep style tracks. Honestly, overall I think it's his best album so far, though I think that while individually a lot of the tracks are very good, his track Strobe is still his best. And the collectible is fun :P
If you like that kind of music then I'd recommend listening to his stuff. His album Random Album Title has a sort of trance sound to me while still being house music, and 4x4=12 is mostly electro house, For Lack Of A Better Name is sort of inbetween those 2 in styles. He had an album out before Random Album Title, though I forget it's name, stylistically it was a mix of a number of things, but seems to be closest to 4x4=12. He has a series of albums of dj friendly tracks known as the At Play series, though I've not listened to them so I couldn't give a comment of what I think of them. :P
The cd of HEALTH's self-titled debut finally arrived in the mail, over a week after it was meant to arrive :x
Still, at least it's here now :D
HEALTH BY HEALTH
Perhaps of note, the track Crimewave on it was remixed by Crystal Castles, who then used the remix for their self-titled debut album.
I went out and bought...
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Blu Ray
Count Your Blessings by Bring Me The Horizon
Merriweather Post Pavillion by Animal Collective
And downloaded...
Silent Shout by The Knife
Wild Life by Unicorn Kid
Doncamatic by Gorillaz
Baby I'm Yours by Breakbot
Silent Shout is amazing. :D
Anyways, I've purchased a large amount of albums since I last posted here, but most recently would be Cradle of Filth's Lovecraft & Witch Hearts, Sleigh Bells' Treats, and Tom Waits' Closing Time.
Next up is Beach House's Teen Dream.
It totally is, wasn't on my to download list initially, but saw it was really cheap and decided I couldn't not let that go :)
And Tom Waits is always good :D

I actually checked out deadmau5 because of your suggestion like a month or two ago. I finally bought an album and it's pretty awesome. :P
And I guess Grace Potter & The Nocturnals could just be considered rock. Some of their songs are kinda folksy. Here's the video for the lead single.
Back on the 4th, but I got 100 of these in black and white. Left them on telephone poles, windshields and the occasional mail slot.
I haven't bought any new music too recently, but the latest albums in my collection are Toxicity (System of a Down)cronomagus36Nice buy :D
