First of all, I tried to do an union front page update, but apparently, even the glitch has gotten hold of that. Thus, I'll post this here. The Grammys have arrived, here are some of the opinions and thoughts of some of our officers.
DaBlastaMasta's Perspective:

Here's who's nominated in the four big categories.

1. Record Of The Year

Nothin' On You - B.o.B Featuring Bruno Mars

Love The Way You Lie - Eminem Featuring Rihanna

F*** You - Cee Lo Green

Empire State Of Mind - Jay-Z & Alicia Keys

Need You Now - Lady Antebellum

2. Album Of The Year

The Suburbs - Arcade Fire

Recovery - Eminem

Need You Now - Lady Antebellum

The Fame Monster - Lady Gaga

Teenage Dream - Katy Perry

3. Song Of The Year

Beg Steal Or Borrow - Ray LaMontagne

F*** You - Cee Lo Green

The House That Built Me - Miranda Lambert

Love The Way You Lie - Eminem Featuring Rihanna

Need You Now -Lady Antebellum

4. Best New Artist

Justin Bieber

Drake

Florence & The Machine

Mumford & Sons

Esperanza Spalding

I'm really really excited for it. A ton of people are performing, so hopefully it will be a good show.

Rocketfox's Point of View:

Well, since the Grammys have evolved over the years to include over 100 different awards (109 specifically so far), though I'd provide you with the list of all the nominations.

Also thought I'd provide information on nominee Cee-Lo Green, with his song F*** You being nominated for 3 awards.

Cee-Lo has been active in music since around 1992, and over the years has covered a range of genres in his music from hip hop, to soul, to funk and even R&B. He first came to notice as part of the hip hop group Goodie Mob, being arguably the most visible member of the group prior to his departure in 2000, though did work again with the Goodie Mob on the album Even In Darkness by Dungeon Family, a supergroup consisting of Goodie Mob, OutKast and others, the name referencing the nickname for record producer Rico Wade's basement studio, where many of the members of Dungeon Family did their first recordings. After leaving Goodie Mob, Cee-Lo went on to record his first solo album Cee-Lo Green and His Perfect Imperfections in 2002, which produced the hit song Closet Freak. In 2004, Cee-Lo Green followed up with his second solo album Cee-Lo Green... Is The Soul Machine, which featured guests like Pharrell Williams, Ludachris and Timbaland, and also featured the hit I'll Be Around. However, it was in 2006 that Cee-Lo Green found his international break, teaming up with producer Danger Mouse to form the duo Gnarls Barkley which stormed charts across the globe with their single Crazy from their album St. Elsewhere, later following that album up in 2008 with their second album The Odd Couple. Finally, it was in 2010 that Cee-Lo released his 3rd studio album The Lady Killer which has been fairly successful internationally, well received by critics and produced the hit single F*** You, which is currently nominated for 3 Grammys which are Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Urban/Altenative Performance. As for future projects, who can say? Though Cee-Lo himself has stated there is at least one more Gnarls Barkley album is planned for the near future.

Telvisnostic's Choices:
Song of the Year

'Forget You' -- Cee-Lo

Album of the Year
'Teenage Dream' -- Katy Perry

Best New Artist
Drake

Record of the Year
'Empire State of Mind -- Jay-Z Feat. Alicia Keys

Best Female Pop Vocal Performance
'Bad Romance' -- Lady Gaga

Best Male Pop Vocal Performance
'Just the Way You Are' -- Bruno Mars

Best Female Country Vocal Performance
'Temporary Home' -- Carrie Underwood

Best Pop Performance by a Group or Duo with Vocals
'Babyfather' -- Sade

Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals
'Telephone' -- Lady Gaga & Beyoncé

Best Pop Vocal Album

'Teenage Dream' -- Katy Perry

Best R&B Song
'Second Chance' -- El DeBarge

Best R&B Album

Best Contemporary R&B Album
'The ArchAndroid' -- Janelle Monáe

Best Rap Song
'On To The Next One' --Jay-Z & Swizz Beatz

Best Rap Album
'The Adventures of Bobby Ray' -- B.o.B

I predict that Eminem and Gaga will win too much.

Gaga will try her best to get people to talk with her outfit.

I look forward to thse performers: Janelle Monáe, Cee-Lo and Usher. I don't much care for the others, unless Rihanna performs the S&M song.

Discuss, share your love, hate, excitement, or ennui, and post it here.

Even though I don't post here much, I do have some bones to pick on this year's Grammys.

-I've never liked Muse. TWO SONGS is all I like. "The Resistance" better be good.

-Once again, it goes to show that Bob Dylan has lost his voice. He's still a legend though.

-Arcade Fire wins AOTY. First, who are they? Second, why is watching grass grow better than listening to thier songs?

Okay, here are my thoughts.

My favorite performances were Gaga, Muse, Janelle Monae, and B.o.B.

It seems odd that Arcade Fire couldn't even win their genre award (alternative), yet they won AoTY. Also the fact that they were told to wait backstage and then perform again gave the idea that it was planned out from the start.

Oh yeah, Cee-Lo is AWESOME. :P
