Did you take those pics with a cam? Why not just save them.

Tyranids..... there so boring to play with, and still soooo frustrating to play against, but back to the subject at hand those "new" ones don't look that much apart from the old, but that's tyranids....... some new units thou.

I didn't take these photos If I had they would have been a better quality seeing as I practically take my D-SLR everywhere now days, the person who took these was using a camera phone just be grateful that we're getting some light on tyranids as GW has become very hush hush about their new releases

ok let me tell you something about every new release they try to at least bring out 3 metal models and 3 new plastic sets with each army update as you can see we are therefore missing 2 things plus thats the minimun they go for like with imperial guard we got 6 new plastic kits and 6 metal model packs plus not everything has been released yet...

As for your opinion on them being boring you haven't heard about some of their new rules like carnifexs being able to be taken in squads of 3 or old one eye and the red terror making a return have you??

My next question then must be, where exactly do you get your intel..... no offense intended I'm just curious.

If your right I will be forced to rethink my Blood Angels force that I usually use against Tyranids, 3 carnifexes...... now they will be really annoying to play against, but the thing is that I seriously doubt that any more experienced gamers will take advantage of that new rule..... if you don't play like 2k matches.

ZZZZZZZZOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look what showed up today my little friends

(P.s. prepare for mass upload of sexy pictures)

Tyranid trygon

"The Trygon is a colossal serpentine creature whose iron-hard carapace is proof against all but the heaviest of weapons and whose giant talons can scythe through even the most formidable battle-tank. In battle, a Trygon's shifting mass generates lethal bio-electric energy that it unleashes upon its foes in vicious arcs of lighting."

Tyranid mawloc

"Mawlocs are huge worm-like creatures with massive razor-toothed maws that act as the entryway to their equally cavernous gullets. Most of a Mawloc's victims are swallowed whole, there to be painfully digested. Anything to large to swallow is pounded flat by the Mawloc's muscular tail before being devoured."

The trygon and mawloc will be available in a single plastic boxed set consisting of 97 plastic components and costings a shocking £30!

Tyranid gargoyles (yes they're plastic!!! )

Tyranid Gargoyle Brood

Tyranid ravener brood (plastic :D )

Tyranid Ravener Brood

Tyranid pyrovore

Tyranid Pyrovore

"A Pyrovore's maw drips with corrosive acids that are powerful enough to reduce armour, flesh and bone to a gooey, smouldering mucous. When confronted by a foe the Pyrovore launches forth an incandescent fireball from its dorsal bio-weapon that reduces its victim to a pile of burning ash."

Tyranid hive guard

Tyranid Hive Guard

"The Hive Guard are charged with protecting Tyranid structures and are capable of unleashing salvo after salvo of intense firepower. Essentially gun-beasts, they are heavily armoured and have a body designed to be a stable firing platform for the massive impaler cannon bonded to their forelimbs. Physically linked to the shard-beasts that comprise the ammunition to their cannons, Hive guard can target enemies with unerring accuracy - even those who they cannot see."

Tyranid venomthrope

Tyranid Venomthrope

"The Venomthrope's whip-like tentacles drip with a multitude of alien poisons. Indeed, so potent are these toxins that it is believed that a Venomthrope's very touch means certain death. Under a Venomthrope's heavy carapace is a network of bulging, gas filled bladders that emit yellowish spore clouds. These clouds are lethal to non-Tyranid organisms and dense enough to obscure nearby Tyranid organisms"

...

So there you have it! The first wave of tyranids have been revealed and soon we shall see the codex appear in stores locally... I can hardly wait to see what some of the new beasties are capable of this time anyway enjoy!

I saw the black box today... it contained lots of new nid stuff :D the raveners are 1/3 bigger now and the plastic gargoyles are looking pretty sick I can see their wings being used on quite a few things the trygon is looking pretty cool as well the instructions aren't that complicated so its looking all good appart from one bit of bad news... there's been printing errors with the codex and will be delayed for a couple of days
