I'm at the part where-

However, the main plot feels a bit disjointed. I'm not really even sure what the main plot is, other than some guy on codec that wants the man in charge dead.

I've heard the gameplay is improved in the second game, but the story's not as good. dapman418

Pretty spot on, some really great ideas in it and design points. Great atmosphere still, terrific sense of place, but it lacks the novelty that made the first so special. Bioshock 1 is Rapture, and revisiting Rapture and seeing more of it takes something away from that first experience and never matches it.

My only problem with the original Bioshock is that the final few levels pale in comparison to the plot twist that precedes them, and the final boss battle was a bit dissapointing.brickdoctor

Again, spot on. 

Levine has said on multiple occasions that Infinite has no link to Bioshock 2 and that you don't need to play it. It's still a really damn good gamn though.stephenage
