Make your own weapon for Kratos

Your own weapon for kratos could be anything as long as it kills the enemy.

A Electrified Blade made of a sword into a chain (sword chains)

The pooh sticks of chaos!!!!!!!

A pair of Winnie the Pooh's very own pooh sticks, this limited edition weapon causes so little damage that it hurts!!!!!! In turn killing the enemies.

Well I'll first name off premade weapons I'd like Kratos to wield...

-Ares' War Hammer/Sword/Axe (perhaps as 1 weapon that morphs between these forms) *Think "Hammertime", Pillar Crash and Quick Axe swipes*

-Poseidon's Trident (funtion like: Satyr Halberd *Direct/Power attacks*, Minotuar Hammer *Large Forcewave attack* , Poseidon's Rage to parallel the Lance of the Furies, slightly stronger than the Blades of Athena but limited reach and allows for faster movement in water)

-The Daggertail (as used by the Dark Prince)

-Hades' Bident *two-pronged staff* (function like: Satyr Halberd *swift/agile attacks*, Centaur Staff *blue shockwave attack they use*, Same as BoA in strength/slightly smaller than the Trident with limited reach and  it can call upon the Army of Hades in place of the Lance of the Furies *the amount of souls called/strength depends of the strenth/amount of enemies you killed prior to the attack..its glow slowly engulfs the entirety of the Bident upon being filled*

I liked the old spells so much and the new game has new magic I use them as weapon properties.

-L1+O: Pierce Earth with Bident making Large Pit around Kratos *with a thin sliver to stand on for Kratos in the middle* that enemies drop into (instant death at the price of possible orbs)  Attack is chargable.  After attack ends the pit closes and ground returns to normal.

Fists of Stone Death (Stone Fists): Gauntlets similar to DMC3's Beowulf with properties of Medusa's Gaze imbued within.   Slightly weaker than BoA but can turn enemies to stone.    Ex: punching Undead at MAX will kill them in 3 hits but take 2 to Petrify them.  The Stone Fists deals less damage to those who are already Petrified (thus switching for the finish is suggestable) or those immune to Medusa's Gaze.  So the final hit on the petrified zombie would take 2 hits to break as apposed to being killed on the third hit since it got petrified on the second.  It would have an quicker version of the Lance of Furies with a upward flowing torrent/flash of Medusa's Gaze (When fully charged the main blast is preceded by a Gorgon Rage wave).  The Special attacks take up magic.

I was thinking of changing it up and make a new weapon a staff not a blade of sword.  Its a lightning staff that has small blades at each end.  You can pull off larger combos due to its design.  For a special attack you can jump up and then stab it into the ground and lightning hits it and then lightning bolts branch off and hits enemies.  In higher levels you can leave the weapon behind and then use the Blades of Chaos to chop us some enemies.  On the last level you can leave it in the ground and it produces a Poseidon's Rage effect, then a huge electrical shockwave blasts through the entire area.  You can also stab enemies and then point the staff upward and then lightning strikes evicerating the enemy above.  The staff can also be stabbed in the eye of the cyclops and used as a lightning rod to fry the cyclops.  I would really like this weapon in GoWII.

Swords of the windDescription A long, curved blade, resembeling a Kama: The only difference is the blade is extended, the handle is not wood, but metal, and there is a small, leather loop on the end, allowing it to more swifter and stronger when holding on to the strap instead of the handle. I will try and get a video of what the moves would look a little like. A black belt in my Karate class is very skilled at a form called Flying Kamas, which has moves similar to what I have in mind. The kid (yes, a kid) is off training personally with Chuck Norris. No joke, he has free private lessons with Chuck Norris. But anyway, the form is really cool to watc.curlfro

Nicely done yet again Zenodoros...you too tuff_gong92 *though it wouldn't at first seem like a weapon Kratos would wield I'm sure it would quickly prove otherwise since most new weapons seem akward at first no matter the wielder*

The shields have a symbol that reminds me of the Phoenix..Zenodoros guess on just who these soldiers are would be greatly appreciated.  Notice the insane number of enemies on the other side..I can't tell if those are Archers or Centaurs...I'm going to say Human Archers.  I think it would be AWESOME if they pulled a "300 moment" (Arrows blotting out the...well I guess the full moon would have to due).  Then there is the fire...I wonder what that is about.

~This picture holds more promise than most we've seen since the beginning...last time our enemies were more of the monstrous variety..humans were meerly green orbs with legs.

EDIT:  I see a staircase and what could be the side of the base...to the tower we so often see in the middle of a forest...I remember pictures (and a vid clip) of Kratos balancing on a beam in a burning tower (inside appeared to be wooden)..Perhaps the fire is engulfing the forest...Maybe these archers shot flaming arrows (thus the streaks) and were burning it down.

Now that, that is a very exciting screenshot.

I cannot tell who those soldiers are merely because of the shield blazon, keep in mind the developers don't concentrate on accuracy and authenticity and I'm even suprised when historical games get shield designs correct (i.e. the lambda wasn't used by the Spartans until long after Thermopylae, though most depictions still show them with it) so I'm not fussed about what importance the phoenix has.

In any case, that looks like a lot of fun. I always prefer killing mortals to undead, I don't feel heartless enough when killing zombies.

It likely doesn't mean anything...but I'd like to think it is indicative of a fight with a Phoenix in our future.  I too am psyched to kill some humans IN COMBAT.  Since they are virtually the same as the Undead in weight/function I would think that they would get a O grapple that sets them up for 4 options (remember that X tosses them by their throat for a bounce now).  Undead Satyrs have 4 options too.  So why not the humans?

~What do you think about the theory concerning the burning tower in the forest and those archers?..Do you think they are the ones that started the fire with their arrows? (which appear to be on fire)

Just wanted to put in my two cents about "making a weapon," I dont think it would work out in this sort of game because God of War seems to have a good set of weapons already for Kratos, I can see if they did some type of in-game type of thing where they did a spin-off type of thing where making a weapon might be more useful but I like God of War just the way it is as far as weapons go.

April 24th 2006 from IGN.  That is VERY old.  I mentioned it when the union was first brought back and haven't had much reason to discuss it again.  Some forget about the pictures..others never see them...I am neither of these.

I doubt it was deleted..Most anything they actually show us will be in the game..it is the things that we aren't being shown that I fret over...

-When doing a reverse NUR I was fighting the 3 Cyclops before entering the Architects final resting place and saw a full grown Cerberus walking around...now this is completely out of place to all who have played the game even once..for me this was just bizarre.  I must have knocked a puppy of the platform somehow in battle and it grew up on the ground.  It had some sort of attraction to the wall nearest its rightful place and refused to attack (but it would counter attack).  I made videos of it just for lulz.  So I did my signature double Artemis Ascension to knock it where I wanted it (one Ascension takes them airborne but a second while still in air while score a "homerun hit" launching them at an angle).  After that I spent an hour smacking it around (I restart every time it dies)...

--I tried to knock it into the giant saw blades but to no avail..I did luanch it into the bottomless pits a number of times (I did that to a Minotaur at the part where you see Kronos crawling *he smashed the Minotaur lol*).  Then I encountered more glitches when I forced the Cerberus into the Architect's Chamber (a "Phantom Glitch", "Invisowall glitch" and a few others that delighted me for another hour).

---I put an end to the fun with a bang by recording myself rippoing the Architect's Wife's head off while in RotG (just for lulz).

I wish...it disappeared as it neared the "ground"...I just assume that the hand that coverd its landing place crushed it...no orbs..but it was worth it.

~I had intended for one boss (an idea of mine..it was 1/2 Minotaur 1/2 Cyclops) to get its face slammed on its own weapon *impaling the eye on the sharp point* then holding on to a ledge before it gives way..Kratos watches as it falls towards the ground only to stripped of its flesh while it nears the ground by the deadly sands...After hitting the ground it tries to get up (the creature was that bad*ss) only to be crushed by the crawling Kronos...hilarity ensued as Kratos puts his weapons away and takes the 1st son of the Architect's head *I had placed the boss at the Challenge of Atlas if you couldn't tell*

Maybe not. I think there are enough katanas in other games anyway, especially those made in Japan. That's why I'd like to see a rhomphia in this... or another kopis. The main character in Spartan: Total Warrior had one and it was great.
