Well im sure he had to have learned about Ares before confronting Ares in God of War I, so maybe they could do a game designed to set up for God of War I.
Im sure there had to be some events that took place before God of War I, where he had to find out possible weaknesses of Ares. Plus I am wondering what other stuff he did for the gods besides what happened CoO.
...Clearly there were events prior to GoW1..and we could use those. As for anything specifically relating to a weakness of Ares prior to GoW1's "Pandora's Box". No. Just no. Deliberate on it if you would be so kind. Indulge me with reflection on your thoughts.
~His work as a slave to the gods would indeed be fun to see..though I most desire seeing the path leading to his bondage under Olympus (in the formal sense as all mortals suffer under their mighty rule)
Another thing i just thought about was the great war between the gods and the titans, that would be an impressive game to make for the God of War Franchise.
..How do you propose they even go about that? Play as young Zeus? Possibly other gods? A title where we don't have a singular character as a focus? It just doesn't sound right. These gods wouldn't be on the adventure Kratos would be on. There would be plenty of action to be sure...but other areas would suffer. Without Kratos, it just doesn't say GoW either.
Since one of the trophies for GOW 1 was just watching the Birth of the Beast thing, about Kratos' brother, I think it's safe to assume we will kill him one day, even on the next game.

The producers already said GOW 3 completes this, the main story arch, but that there will be other GOW games.
Req: That would be fine. He's not a full brother to Hercules. That would just kill the arc. Raping Herc with that terrible angle is a sacrifice I'd be willing to make at this point.
Not if they loosely tie in Hercules who's already noted as a half-brother which means he is NOT related to us by our mother and the whole angle will have been retconned. This effectively would kill the 'brother arc' as was the 'father arc' when it was altered. Our 'mother' never turned into a bird demon monster and we didn't kill her.
~At least nobody campaigns for the Modern Warfare angle
