I'm having trouble getting through the last set of enemies before the Loom Chamber in GOW 2. The big guys in the gold armour take a ton of health out of me and then the Gorgans and Sirens usually finish me off. I managed to get past them once but I was completely outclassed by the Ogres at the end :(.
Does anyone have any tips for this section? I'm playing in God mode with upgrades and I have upgraded my health and magic about 3 or 4 times.

First off, tell me your weapons/spells levels. You've already told me you are playing a traditional God run. The first order of business after you give me those stats is dealing with everything before the final fight...addressing your current methods of handling them then advising changes through tips/tactics and/or full strategies.
I wish I had the Stats thread up but I don't..nor have I started the Tactics/Tips thread. I suppose I could do that tomorrow but I know I'm not going to whether Myles comes over or not. I'll be too pissed off if he doesn't and far too busy if he does. Sunday SHOULD be a good time to do so...

Head of Euryale lvl 2....It would have been preferable that you had it at lvl3 here. You MAX'd the SoD? Atlas Quake lvl3 is good for this fight but the Blades are largely ignored because they are tough to exploit here. Typhon's Bane lvl2? I guess you couldn't have known how poor some of these items are for dealing with higher difficulties. (SoD and Typhon's Bane especially)
If you have enough ot level the Hammer..I suggest you do so IF you are decent at blocking/parrying and have a good grasp on enemy attack/animations. All you'll be wanting to do with the hammer is block/retaliate (triangle hits) OR use the "Might of the King" (L1+triangle) to send a shockwave out that goes through those barriers...attacking through them is great when you can't safely battle enemies normally.
If you were GOOD with Medusa's Gaze in GoWII I'm sure you can make due with lvl2 Euryale's Head. If not..it may be best you save those orbs for spending later. (Zeus)
Now that that is covered. Answer the questions concerning your skill with blocking/countering and recognizing enemy attacks/patterns. (by animation/sound) I'd also like to know how good you are with Petrification based magic so I'll know what to suggest for you throughout.
These are the battles...I'd like to hear what you've been doing to deal with the enemies to battle them (your plan) and how things go wrong. (where damage comes from):
Cursed Legionnaires/Fate Juggernauts
Sirins/Gorgon Queens
Satyrs/Hades Minotaurs
Fate Sentries/Cursed Legionairre/Cyclops Brutes
If you feel the small battles in between matter, cover them as well. Colission will only net 25 damage on God but that could still help a great deal in choice fights.

I haven't used the head of Euryale at all as it never really fit into my style of play. I prefered to use Cronus Rage and later Atlas Quake and kill my enemies while they are getting electrocuted/on the ground. I maxed the spear as I found it very useful in close quarter fights and the L1 + letter moves have helped me a lot. I leveled up the bow as I found the increased shot speed very usefull in the sisters of fate fight. I found the hammer too slow to be any use in my previous fights and the fact that you can't roll hurt as well.
I'm rather good and blocking and returning attacks with the fleece. I always have my finger hovering over L1 and I'm pretty fast at tapping whatever button comes up. As petrification, I don't use it all except when countering Gorgan stares.
As for the individual battles:
Legionnaires/Juggernauts: This fight usually goes bad for me. I can handle the Juggernauts on their own but those legionnaires make it very difficult. Usually when I'm facing one the big guys they come in and hack and me and then the Juggernauts take a big swing at me and I lose a ton of health. Here I usually just spam Atlas Quake to get rid of the legionnaires and then I can handle the juggernauts.
Sirins/Gorgan Queens: Here is where I try not to use magic. I grab the health chest and then start battling. I just block and deflect here. I use turn back the stone stares and take out the Sirins while they're stone and jab at the Gorgans until I can finish them off. This usually goes wrong though and a couple of blows usually get through.
Satyrs/Hades Minotaurs: I just hate the Satyrs so much that I just spam Atlas Quake the whole way through. But I always run out near the end so I go into ROTT to take out the rest but I still take damage here from the minotaurs which gets me to about half. I just jab at the minotaurs untill I finish them off.
Also I always seem to take way too many hits in the legionnaire battle afterwards which cripples my health so I need to work on that.
Sentries/Legionnaires/Cyclops Brutes: I always get taken out very quickly here. I try to spam Atlas Quake but it doesn't seem to make a dent in the Cyclopses and the soldiers seem endless. Then while I'm blocking the small enemies the Cyclopses storm in and quickly take me out. If I dodge the the smaller enemies get too many hits in and I die anyway.

Petrification wasn't part of my repertoire in GoW1 until I did my second God Mode run. It costs less magic to freeze especially large/high HP enemies (troublesome ones too) and crush them then it does to rely on damage based magic. The bow really has no place of worth when you know how to use the Hammer and Euryale's Head. Theseus is where we are forced to use Typhon's bane in a boss fight..in Bonus Play I get a kick out of using Poseidon's Rage to annihilate that fool.
The typical complaints about the hammer..neither of which truely matter. If you really need to roll with the Hammer observe Loud Wally's words from his Hammer FAQ:
Bow switching is one of the keys to use the hammer properly. You MUST learn
to do it consistantly before using the hammer well against some enemies, more
likely bosses.Â
How to do it
Set Typhon's Rage as your magic. Anytime during the / / attack, you can tap
L2 to bring out the bow to get yourself back into neutral position, free to
do any other action. You have to remember that you have to hold a direction
on the left analog stick while doing this. If you don't you'll have to go
through the animation of Kratos putting the bow away in his magical skin
pocket which slows it down a bit.Â
If you hold the stick, he will bring out his bow
for a very short amount of time, then put it away leaving you free to do
another / / combo, jump away, or anything.
Of course, during the / / combo, you can just press L1 to block, but that
isn't the point. Against attacks that are unblockable, what you can do is
tap L2, then tap R2 to switch to blades, roll to safety, then switch back to
the hammer. At first, this will be a bit troublesome but within 5 or so
minutes, it should become second nature.Â
Simply switching to the blades isn't enough. You have to tap the bow first.
Or you can have Euryale's head equipped.......making it Head Switching instead
of the....bow.
You might have noticed you can jump, or switch to the blades and roll after
the first /, but its from the lag after the second / where bow switching
shines. It's also the key to using the jumping / attack properly. Without
switching, you can only get 1 attack in per jump. If you use the switch, you
can get 2, or 3 if you double jump first.
*Against cyclops' you can do more than 3 hits if you double jump.Â
Due to their height, you end up floating around their head for a little
while so you can get more hits in. Be careful when you do this how ever as
their attacks can swat you out of the air and into DEATH.
Â
Remember that the jumping attack is pretty much equal to the first
ground / attack so don't ignore it completely.Â
Against skinny, dodgy enemies being the siren and wraith, they bounce
everytime you land one of these so you can just keep on bouncing them until
they die. Though other enemies bounce, it's these ones that often dodge your
attacks that it's worth doing it against. Just ground pound the other guys.
Bow switching is how you bounce. REMEMBER THATÂ
I've never needed it personally..Bow switching isn't something that I need nor plan to utilize for quite some time. I've done a General Kratos : Titan Mode : No Update Run..it isn't necessary but helps for those that actually rely on rolling. As for slow attacks..triangle, triangle is all you need for dealing damage. Do 1-2 hits and you'll have dealt serious damage to any adversary..just dish out the hit(s), block and repeat. It's very simple. Fate Juggernauts are especially vulnerable to this. If you were good with Petrification you could freeze a Juggernaut and crush it in two hits.
Master the Hammer.  It is the weapon of the elites...if you aspire to at least beat Titan you will be using the Hammer eventaully.Â
I'm rather good and blocking and returning attacks with the fleece. I always have my finger hovering over L1 and I'm pretty fast at tapping whatever button comes up. As petrification, I don't use it all except when countering Gorgan stares.
That's too bad about the petrification thing. Have you noticed that enemies flying into (be it from your attacks/throws or anything else) each other causes damage? Specifically speaking, to the one who get hit by the projectile (enemy you hit). You can even use Argo's Return/Revenge to knock enemies into each other.
The Spear is for stylish play.it has yet to serve any purpose other then magic orb gathering in Titan Mode. The Hammer does far more damage. I have made number comparisons if you are interested. All you need to do is get in one to two hits and keep yourself out of harms way. If you combine the Hammer with RotT against tougher foes you'll find them being slaughtered like animals in no time. With RotT at the point you are at its power will be multiplied by three and the damage you take will be reduced to one fourth the original amount.Â
That's using far too much magic. I suggest you use this place as a trainging ground for the following:
-Orion's Harpoon (press O while an enemy is in the air while you are on the ground *Athena's Blades*)
-Grapple throws on Cursed Legionnaire at Fate Juggernauts (if they have O over their head, grapple then press square or X)
-Aerial Infinite Grapples with Cursed Legionnaires
These are all good ways of dealing out colission damage.  When pulling the Legionnaire down or slamming it with any of these you can make it scrap/smash an enemy for a large amount of damage.
Another thing to start noting is the Barriers that come up. Familiarize yourself with their opening/closing patterns. Since you don't have the BoO and the Spear/Blades don't work all that well at this...you'll be needed the Hammer for its shockwave attack, Might of the King. Sending the wave through the barrier so they can't hit you while you deal out damage to them.
Since you have MAX Blades you can use powerful combos ending with attacks like Spirit (super plume) and Valor (cross swipe). Valor is good for knocking the Legionnaires away..preferably at other enemies.
You'll be wanting to seperate enemies from each other (clearly) if you can't do colission damage (which you should learn to use). Using RotT with the Hammer (even with lvl1) will do immense damage to the Fate Juggernauts. Take it to lvl2 and try pounding away with just triangle hits on one. You'll start to see it's power.
You are right to deal with the Sirins in that manner. Note that Gorgon Queens break out in two seconds and take 50 damage to be broken in their statue form. That's too much for the Blades to handle for the most part. The Spear's "Piercing Shards". Note that this does not mean that Piercing Shards does 50 damage. It just breaks statues rather easily. It doesn't even count towards combos (hits). The attack actually does 20 damage. I suppose you could call that a unique property of the weapon seeing as it doesn't do adequate damage to break them yet it does the job. A direct hit from "Might of the King" or two triangle hits would do the job against the Queens. Sirins will only take one hit. The dangerous part of dealing with Sirins is their energy spouts. If you stay and block it you provoke a gorgon beam and cannot counter it..resulting in a quick death. Evasion through rolling is a bad idea too..I prefer to either keep moving or parry it. Usually I would have had them petrified by the Gorgon's own attack before they ever try that attack on me.
As you may already know, RotT can break out of many grapples and including the stone state...even preventing petrification.
You should know that holding block will provoke the Gorgon Gaze but grapple attempts on the Queens will provoke a Gorgon Blast. Either being good for petrifying the masses.
Killing the Satyrs first is important though you don't want to get to happy with spending all your magic. First you'll want to weaken the Satyrs from far away using "Might of the King" (L1+triangle w/ Hammer). Preferably through the barriers. Always keep your distance.  Aim to damage the Satyrs and kill them first (the Hades Minotaurs aren't much of a challenge. You don't even need to use magic against them when they are your only opponent. Just watch their movements and Hammer them to death. Since your Atlas Quake is level three you'll be using it. Pummel them with shockwaves and only resort to the Qauke when you are surrounded or in a close encounter with multiple Satyrs. Be sure to keep making distance between you and the Satyrs.
For the battles between the major ones you should use lots of Argo's Revenge and grapple throws. Never waste RotT or magic on them.
This is where Gorgon Rage would have come in handy. For 1/4 of your magic you could hav flash frozen two Cyclops at once and all enemies near them, crushed them with the Hammer and had only one Cyclops left who would fall prey to a Gorgon Flash another Hammer hit.
You'll want to stat in the narror corridor's beginning and toss enemies at the cyclops before they get too close. If you have too little health to manage them and you need to reach the chests with health and magic..you clearly didn't manage the other fights well enough..though you could likely lead the Cyclops into the corridor before running past the quickly forming barriers (use "Quick Rolling") and some RotT to limit damage done to you as you regain Health/Magic. The idea here is to Hammer away at a Cyclops (using the hammer *lol*) in RotT until "O" comes up, turn off RotT and do the mini-game. Then repeat. At the very least you should have enough RotT to do this on two Cyclops. If not, spam Atlas Quake between them before using RotT. In any case the Cyclopses must die first...all three of them.
Once you have taken note of what I'm saying, try employing this information. If you really need visual aid I can simply link you to a video that may be able to help you.
^Thanks for the help :). I'll definitely be using these tips, especially with the hammer :D.

Because you are on Titan I'll mention collision damage. If you are aware of it and how it works..know that it does 50 damage per instance onto whomever is hit with the projectile foe. Alternate/Secondary Orion's Harpoon is a good way to do this using the Cerberus Seeds. For more info on those two things try THIS thread.
I'm now covering battles that are tough such as this one in said thread.
For your situation I need to know how many EXP orbs you have, how much magic/health/RotT you are working with, etc. Then I can give you more specific information.
I have about 7000 exp, found all phoenix feathers and gorgon eyes. I have full RotT, health and magic.lil_ray
I'd start by leveling the Barbarian Hammer to lvl2 as it is the most powerful tool you have..I'll leave you to preference on this though.
At the start you'll notice a lone High Priest who summons enemies *one right from the start though it can be stopped* as well as enemies who spawn naturally. Kill off all enemies that spawn naturally before the Priest while protecting the Translator. Ways to dispatch them include:
-grapple a Rabid Hound and toss it at Fate Guardians/High Priest *be careful that you don't cause collisions with the Translator*
-Use Hammer hits (triangle), Argo's Revenge *next to the Translator to direct enemies away from him and Cronos Rage or Atlas Quake to keep enemies busy while dealing damage.
-After killing off all but the High Priest, grapple him to death *if any of his summons remain, you should grapple/toss them at him* Two more will appear
-Activate RotT and go crazy with Hammer strikes (triangle only). If you fear they will slip away you should cast just one Cronos Rage before attacking so they do not teleport. Your aim is to kill one Priest then destroy the other with grapples, however if you have power remaining you may turn it on the final High Priest
VIDEO DEMOSTRATION *AFTH*
Alternate tactics *Shinobier*
Thanks alot for the tactics, the barbarian hammer kicked @$$!!!!Istopped playing at lakhesis, so i might need more help later.

Indeed. The Hammer can get you out of quite a few tough spots with its RAW POWER. At lvl3 I was finally able to defeat 9 Wraiths of Asphodel at once without magic or RotT to aid me.*not an easy fight in Arena of the Fates*
~With RotT it makes Kratos a Juggernaut of Death..unstoppable
---If you mean the boss fight with Lahkesis then I have a few tips should you need any..I'll just drop one off the bat since this one is overlooked by so many:
If you try and use the Amulet of Fates on her time will fluctuate briefly and cause here to stop almost anything she had been doing previously just to unpause time and toss a green bolt at you. This is good because you can use the Golden Fleece on it to knock her down for magic/health while getting easy and reliable hits in with the Hammer. When I first saw this on YouTube I was amazed by two things..the brilliance of the trick and the incompetance of its user as they didn't capitalize on the situation as I do.
Thanks for any help you might have,
Stingray-man
She needs to go back down the ladder used to reach the rooftops and get Zeus' Fury (past roof archers). It will involve pushing a balista towards a puzzle that will turn the ballista so it can blast through a wooden door. Once you have this spell, you can kill far away creatures *even that guy holding the lever*
Hey All,
I'm currently doing my first NUR run on god mode, but I'm totally stuck on the part where I have to kill the group of sirens before I can summon the Titan with the temple on his back.
They're so damn dodgy and keep pelting me with their attacks. I try to get em up into the air but it fails more often than not cause they keep moving away so much.
Does anyone have any strats for getting through this part?
Thank,
Sam
[[ Note: Nevermind, I figured it out on my own. Lots of dodging, lots of weaving, well timed blocks and a bit of luck. Damn hags are more annoying than the clones....no.. not really :p ]]
hey can anyone help me? im tryin to find out how to find the code for TUGOWU signatures ive just joined the union but i need a signature thnxboredkid95
Welcome to TUGOWU, please refer to this THREAD for your question (depeneding on how you have your thread reading set up) Its going to be the 3rd post of the thread (Pg. 15 if you have your forums set up to go from newest post to oldest post, or Pg. 1 if you have your forum set up to go from oldest post to newest post).
Be sure to post up an intro thread as well there. ;)
Hi all,
I've been stuck on Lowlands Endurance on Titan for about 2.5 days now.
I've got lvl 3 Blades, lvl 1 everything else and about 9000 orbs.
I can get past the Sirens no problem, but the Hades Minotaurs generally rape me. I've gotten to the second room a couple of times, but I was pretty hurt at that point and couldn't finish it. I've watched Manesh's high jump tutorial and Shenminiu's speed run, but I can't seem to get high enough to get over the gate. I'm getting a bit desperate, someone please impart some wisdom!
Thanks in advance.

Hi there. Is it essential that you skip this fight? With a little tuition you should be able to get through this fight. Another user here (FMM) will be able to help you on this matter. he has an interesting technique to destroy Hades Minotaurs.
Hey,
No, it's definitely not essential that I skip the fight - I would prefer to finish it. I found a thread where FMM talks about how to do it http://www.gamespot.com/pages/unions/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=25866987&union_id=8168&page=18
and it looks like it'll be quite helpful, but I'm unclear on some of the terminology:
1) Cancel/Bow Cancel: I gather it's got something to do w/ using the BH, but not sure.
2) OH: Is that the move where you are on the ground and grab someone that's in the air? I guess I'd have to be facing the Minotaurs and use that on a Siren.
3) Negation ( = parry? )
4)Tricking
I've also been trying to find FMM's video on how he handles this section, but I can't seem to locate it. Anyway, I'll keep you updated on my progress, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I believe this is the video you're looking for.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Tz6XYI-DAHI
I should keep this video in mind as well actually, I can see my self getting very stuck on this on Titan Mode. I'll also help you with your questions as much as I can, though I'm not professional.
1. Bow cancelling is using Typhoons Bane to skip the buffer animation for some attacks. For example, the two triangle hits for the Barbarian Hammer, quickly tapping L2 after the second hit cancels the buffer so you can use it again instantly.
2. OH is Orion's Harpoon, so yes, it's basically what you said.
3. I'm not completely sure about this myself actually, it probably means parrying like you said using the Golden Fleece.
4. Tricking is done using TB, but I believe it can also be done with Euryale's Head. Quickly pressing L2 *without pushing the analog stick* gives you an i-frame, this makes enemies attacks go straight through you so you take no damage. Needs good timing though.

I only quote because otherwise I would forget what I am replying to.
You should introduce yourself in the "Welcome all new and returning members: All links inside" thread. Some info about your GoW history is always welcome. We are all "quite" friendly here.
The fact you would prefer to fight impresses me.
cancelling/bow cancelling, a quick dab of L2 removes the delay encountered betwen 2xtriangle Hammer attacks.Read "loud wally's" GameFaqs guide. I have a vid on the subject. i am addaminsain at YouTube too, in its simplest form cancelling can be seen here.
Bowtricking
is slightly different but is really a variation on the same theme. It uses the invincibility frames of spells to avoid taking hits or damage. This is what "negation" is. It negates the enemy attacks meaning they do nothing. My various Theseus vids (and my PurpLulZeus vid) showcase this quite well. I LOVE one on one tricking. Nearly as much as ...
FMM's approach to the fight can be seen here
but this is most useful when utilising the double damage collisions that GK offers. I have may have a vid of it too, honestly I forget. Can you pass the Hades Minotaurs without using magic? are you any good with sub weapons (SoD or Hammer)? These answers would be useful (FMM will be more demanding but ultimately more useful to you, IMO.)
OH? yes you are correct.
tricking? and negation? I think I have already covered.
ANY questions? please ask, anyone here that can help will do so.
True that, your explanation was better than mine anyway, so I don't mind. I was expecting someone to go over what I'd said anyway, just not so soon, so I posted to help Innoke in the mean time.
Fair play.

You can use hyperlinks here. Also, it would be great if you could set your settings to allow maximum post views per page as there aren't 18 pages there for me.
and it looks like it'll be quite helpful, but I'm unclear on some of the terminology:
1) Cancel/Bow Cancel: I gather it's got something to do w/ using the BH, but not sure.
It helps the weapon to be sure but isn't caused by it. The draw animation of Euryale's Head and Typhon's Bane cancels the extra bit of animation after the strike has landed (registered) and erases the buffer after BH's t2 which prevents spamming the attack in quick succession. With this, t,t....t,t, turns into t,t,L2,t,t. Loses the pause. You can also do this with blocking to get t,t,L1.,t,t. It has a short pause. Because it is a block, it could parry strikes during your usage of BH. With tricking you need to respect that this cancel is one in the same with what allows "tricking". The draw is an invincibility frame. IF you move during it, it cancels and you can be hit. They are short, respond quickly and don't cost magic. Cronos Rage has one too that is slightly longer while being offensive but it natural costs magic. All of AQ and PR are invincible. Check out the favorite spells thread to learn of what I like about these spells. In the GoWII Tactics/Tips thread, I discuss a few things of interest though sadly it is out-of-date.
2) OH: Is that the move where you are on the ground and grab someone that's in the air? I guess I'd have to be facing the Minotaurs and use that on a Siren.
Indeed. That is Orion's Harpoon. Certain creatures in GoWII allow for an alternate version (there are 3 different versions of alt.OH) by holding circle rather then pressing it for that move. In CoO, there is an alt.OH but not involving the HOLDING of circle. Rather the pressing of circle during certain strikes. There is a lot we don't yet know of it so I'll have to look into the trick further. As for GoWII, it's all pretty well covered.
Collisions are another matter you likely don't fully understand..RotT too. What sort of run are you doing exactly?
3) Negation ( = parry? )
No. The process of letting an attack pass through you or otherwise nullifying its effects. Basically another way to say you "tricked" through their attack.
4)Tricking
Using certain animations to negate taking damage/effects.
I've also been trying to find FMM's video on how he handles this section, but I can't seem to locate it. Anyway, I'll keep you updated on my progress, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
It's been handed to you already. It was with General Kratos however so that changes things a bit.

Thanks for all the advice guys, I had no idea how much more there is to the combat system than I knew about. I tried a few things out today (mostly BH + bow cancel on the Minotaurs) but I'm still pretty clumsy with it and I still can't read the Minotaurs as well as I'd like, so they thwart me every time. I have full magic and RotT, but I've been saving those for the second fight. I am getting good at parrying the Sirens' lightning orbs though - pretty much every time.
This is only my second run through the game (once on Normal before this) so I guess I've hit the limit of my current skills in this fight. I have plenty of orbs (9,300) and I know I'll have an easier time if I push CR to level 2, but I really want the satisfaction of gutting these f*cking things with my weapons - I've spent way to long on this part not to. Again, thanks for all the help.
You're on God Mode I assume then? If so, I'll give you my run through of what helped me in that fight recently.
The sirens are fairly easy, parry their lighting and use S,S,T *square, square, triangle, can anyone confirm if that's called the Plume of Prometheus? I forget the name* to mess them up quickly.
Once they're dead, the two Minotaurs come and another Siren I believe, I know you said you wanted to save magic but CR is a big help here, may as well use it. Parry all the attacks you can, though if I remember right the Minotaurs ground strike cannot be parried. Use S,S,T here as well, and if you think you have enough time, try Tx5, the triangle ender is quite useful if you can pull it off.
The second room is where I always had trouble, with the first Satyr I used Piercing Shards *L1+T* to keep it in the corner, as it couldn't do anything. Hopefully by the time the Juggernauts and second Satyr come it would be near dead. The Juggernauts are slow and predictable, so go for the other Satyr first, using whatever works for you. Once it's dead this fight is a lot easier. BK+TB cancelling will bring them to "O" by the third triangle ender.
If you still have trouble use RotT against the Satyrs, as they can be very annoying. I'm no professional, but I hope this helps.

Useful advice Snake but here is my take on it. Plume of Prometheus, yes yo (originally a typo but if looked gangsta so I left it in for the lulz) were correct, will mess up the sirens quite nicely. Fleece returning their energy bolts provides a handy opening in which to attack though I would rather launch them (hold T to follow up) then death bounce/infinite air grab them, if using the blades that is.
Unsure as to Triangle times 5 . Are you referring to Spirit of Hercules? Triangle x3 with BoA at the relevant level, I forget, (FMMAX...??) will do this. Square 5 times then triangle will give the Super Plume ender that is Spirit of Hercules.
Correct, the Hades minotaur ground attack can't be blocked or parried. It can easily be avoided or negated though. Firing CR as they perform this attack stops it from hitting you (timing) and cusaes a slight stun, wherin you can attack.
Barbarian (Kings) Hammer is a potent tool indeed. On initial inspection it may appear to be rubbish but if you learn to use it correctly then you will love it. The first time I completed the game on Titan, I did every other difficulty first BTW, I still had no love for it. Nowadays It is my weapon of choice for most settings and use it most of the time.
Snakes Satyr advice is valid but I would handle the first by stoning with Euryales Head, keep out of strike range and circle it, you should get this after 2-3 retries. Use any remaining CR on the juggernauts and hammer them into oblivion. On your current settings I would leve the satyr till last. Hit the juggernauts and run. Beware the fast satyr. When you are one on one with a satyr you are on easy street, my friend. They can be O grabbed at (virtually) any time. Just grab, O button mash and repeat.
There are magic/health chests available after the fight and I think full refills are given after the Icarus cutscene any way. Not sure though.
If you are struggling and need the chest in the satyr/juggernaut room then use Rage of the Titans to open it (RotT) this will prevent stuns/knockbacks/stunbacks while you are doing so.
Have a few goes at the fight, If you have not got through it then report back with how far you got, what you used and we will try to alter our advice accordingly to help you. This fight, like every other IMO is tricky. Learn the acronyms (abbreviations using first letter e.g. TB= Typhons Bane BoA= Blades of Athena. Most people here use them. If you do not understand something I or others say then do not be afraid to ask. NOONE her will mock/make fun of you for asking a valid question.
All in all good luck and keep us informed as to your progress.
Hey,
Snake: I'm on Titan actually, don't think those minotaurs would be so problematic on God. I think I'm gonna take your advice and use CR to avoid their big bash attack, as it really throws me off.
Adam: Sweet idea on the RotT to grab the chest in the second room - I died at least once while trying desperately to pry the damn thing open.
One problem I've had with the BH yesterday is when using the t t attack, I've found the Minotaurs often counter after the first strike... is there any way to tell when they'll do that?
I really have to stop reading this board while I'm at work, makes me really want to go home and play... "Uh Inno, we noticed you never came back from lunch last Friday... so um what's up?" hehehe Anyway, thanks for the advice guys, keep it straight gangsta Adam.

It is not my idea regarding RotT. just sharing the knowledge I have gained from others.
I have not done any testing against Hades minotaurs lately, I really should though, so till someone comes in and offers better advice then go for one triangle attack then weapon-switch-roll-away. There "unblockable " attack has quite a slow build up and is easy to pick out, after several retries. I can't describe the clues they give regarding their attacks, I just know them when I see them. Sorry.
BTW If I am "doing" gangsta I don't do it straight. I do GANSTA at an ANGLE. At the GANGSTA ANGLE to be precise.

Here was my strategy on Titan, NUR+, I'm sure you could apply it to your run:
RAPE the sirens with Barbarian Hammer and Tyhpon bow trick. After this, I was left with two tricky minotaurs. I didn't want to use RotT, so all I did was play mouse and cat where I would spam them with PoP. When first stage was over, I'd grab the Satyr and rapidly press O until the jaggernauts came. IT'S HAMMER TIME (RotT) B*TCH! I didn't want them in the way while I'd finish off the Satyr. Health was low so I grabbed the health chest before the next Satyr came up. Whore it with O and that battle is over.
To make it easier for the first stage, "kill 2nd spawn first for early third spawn"- GMG. That way, you won't have any interference while facing the minotaurs. What have you upgraded so far?
Hey people, thought I'd check in. Getting much better w/ the BH - I can actually make it to the second fight w/ some consistency now. I've been using the BH for all of the first fight, on both the Sirens and Minotaurs. Sometimes the Minotaurs corner me, and I can't see what the hell is going on and am still holding the Hammer while I'm trying to roll out... I'm trying to get in the habit of always doing a bow cancel before switching weapons, so that even when I can't see myself, I can be reasonably sure I'm doing what I think I'm doing... if that makes any sense.
For the second fight, I usually stone the first Satyr, but then get my ass dealt fairly quickly. Elon, good call on the O raping of the Satyrs - I haven't used it much, but I have been doing the same thing to Priests, and w/ them it almost feels cheap - you're invincible nearly the whole time. As for your question, I have 9,300 orbs, lvl 3 BoA and lvl 1 everything else... I'm saving for BoA 4 I guess. My current plan is to max that and AQ, hopefully there'll be enough orbs to get that done by the time I get to that obscene fight before the last sister, w/ maybe some to level the Hammer... mmm sweet hammer of bone-crushing destruction. But I'm definitely open to suggestions on that front. PoP = Plume of Prometheus? That was my first strategy for the Minotaurs, but the space is so god damn small, I can't seem to stay out of their way long enough, and I see they definitely don't like my BH.
Auth, walk it off hun, please! I'd hate to kill the only girl on this forum on my second day here... I don't think I'd be quickly forgiven. Or ever. heheh
Adam, I'm starting to see what you mean about the BH. It's a bit like playing w/ Rock in Soul Calibur or Gun Jack in Tekken - they deal a ton of damage, but are slow as hell and seems kinda worthless, until you really learn how to time the moves and read your opponent - then you pulverize people so quick it's frightening.
Again, thanks for all the help guys, it's been super useful and quite encouraging.
WAIT
Do not spend those EXP orbs. You'll thank yourself for investing them into Euryale's Head. All who've had trouble only to see how this spell can be exploited know its power. It is great for the Translator of Lahkesis, Pantheon of Atropos and Endurance Run fights especially. Just ask any of these guys or refer to our videos.
~Atlas Quake isn't that good..
NOTE: Hades Minotaur tips:
-lure them into their charge for free hits
-attack during their whind up for their unblockable hit
-(theoritical strat) Use a grab *false* to provoke their 'downward stab to swipe'. Negate/Trick through the downard stab and circle (flank) counter-clockwise to its side *just barely outside the hit registry range of the swipe* and get in a hit or two and repeat. A "false grab" will interupt ANYTHING they were previously doing. Just get good at the timing
NOTE: RotT lvl1 is what you have now. (it isn't lvl2 in NP until during the Kraken) At lvl1, it raises weapon power to lvlMID. Activation of RotT for a lvl1 BH raises its power to lvl2. If it was already lvl2 or lvl3, it changes nothing about the power.
You should refer to the Tactics/Tips thread concerning GoWII despite it being outdated
Agreed. I would not upgrade Atlas Quake. Sure it looks good but it is very clumsy. It is difficult to know who it will hit.
My advice for you would be do all you can to get Euryales Head to level 3 before the translator fight. If this means back tracking to an earlier save points to free up more EXP orbs then do so. This will ultimately save you time and frustration in the long run.
