Who's that guy? I would assume a boss, but anyone got any ideas?
he is a boss.. who was present in GoW, He was Barbarian King who came back from Hades when Kratos vut his head by the help of Ares, and yes he is one of the Bosses in GoWII. :DlvlUNE3BI thought he looked familiar. :)
When battling him on the horse I'd gather he uses the bow (and the horse itself) as a weapon *notice how crude the bow is...that means its appearance has been finalized yet just as the case was with Kratos in GoWI's early build*. During the battle we fight some of his men and when we kill them, the Barbarian King absorbs their souls to get bigger.
~The full scope is to come in the September issue of GameInformer...basically in a month's time from now since they come a little before the new month begins (this info comes from Barlog)
He DIDN'T...he was set free by the god that betrayed Kratos in an attempt to kill him.
~I'm really going to LOVE murdering this freak (for hubris)
...You question this but not how Kratos had a fully intact body upon entering Hades? *the man was skewered by a pillar!*
I'm gonna take my best guess and say that since all the gods are basically backstabing eachother that hades is going to bring him back alive to attack kratos. If this is not true then the Barbarian will brobably escape as kratos did in part one. These are my best explanations.ownage1020kratos needed hep to escape the depths of hades, i'm betting hades let this one out
yeah what he said. but he does looked messed up though.........You question this but not how Kratos had a fully intact body upon entering Hades? *the man was skewered by a pillar!*

yah i agree what the hell did Jaffe miss that or somethingQwark678well maybe hades brought him out of the underworld after he was already teared appart and he started putting him together with the peices of him he found like a puzzle, and when he reached this level he decided that this was good enough
who kratos or the barbarian dude?Qwark678think about it...is kratos missing a peice of his flesh or the barbarian?
both kratos his whole stomach, liver and everything in that area and the barbarian his headQwark678i'm talking about after they both exited the underworld..who's the incomplete one?
well technicly the barbarian is the more f***ed up one but mentally kratos seems more messed up in the headQwark678actually i think Kratos was a bit more wiser when he came back from the dead.
he actually thought that he could bring his family back from the dead before he knew he couldn't
-- i'm refering to the battle against the kratos clones cause after he one Ares told him that nothing could bring them back which suggest that he thought he could bring them back --
so you're sayinng......?he actually thought that he could bring his family back from the dead before he knew he couldn't

OK, have it your way........HEÂ WAS MORE F***ED UP IN THE HEAD AFTER HE CAME OUT OF HADES!!!!!!!!!!
Qwark678
*Â anytime now * what do you meanQwark678"i will thank u", so i'm joking like "when will u do that?"
I see you REALLY want your post count to rise Qwark..understandable I suppose.
It isn't fully known why the Barbarian King has come back in such a monstrous form but what I do know is that when Kratos got back he wasn't able to absorb souls to get bigger/stronger nor did he have scourching hot, glowing blood...This isn't a natuaral return from Hades by any stretch...He was changed by whoever brought him back.
~I'm still upset that the last GameInformer was so lame on information...*I know all that crap already and the pictures WEREN'T new at all*
well i think we've seen enough till now, i mean, who awnts to see the entire move-list and variety of opponets before playing the game? we've still got like six months till the game is released.evanescfan
Take a guess...Who here feeds off such information more so than myself?
~Barlog said they've tested most of the first 1/3...and that he was sad he couldn't let the people in Spain play any of their newest work since it was still 'unstable'

well at least they're testing everything this time, u know they messed out the spinning blades part since it wasn't tested. as long as they're not rushing the game, i don't minsd how long they take.........ever played a rushed game? ugh!Well, if the God who batrayed him could turn a mortal that powerful, what could some of the last few bosses be?I see you REALLY want your post count to rise Qwark..understandable I suppose.

Well..I doubt the 3 Hecatonchires *Huge 100 handed, 50 headed beasts that hurled entire mountains* will be involved (since they are part of the lesser know portion of Greek Myth)
The 3 first generation Cyclops are about as well know (though they made Hades' helm of invisibility, Poseidon's Trident and Zeus' Thunderbolts)..but have a much better chance.
The Giants would be easily thrown in but Titans would be much cooler (they'll probally get pushed back to GoWIII though).
~Ladon still seems like a great boss choice to me:
-Guards Immortality giving apples
-Lives in a TEMPLE/Garden
-100 never-sleeping heads that speak various languages w/ different voices
-"Impenetrable" skin
-Three woman live with Ladon (the Hesperides..."entertainment" for Kratos)
---The Hydra set the norm for dragon type bosses
There are a few others that CAN be made worthy...Cetus for instance..Zenodoros brought it to my attention and we discussed the creature (Make your own boss thread) along with a few others...
~Most of the creatures that haven't already been used cannot be taken at face value...you have to work with them (they used most of the easily recognizable Greek beasts *to the average american anyway* in the first)Â
Cetus got punked out but that doesn't mean it can't be used.
Scylla and Charbydis were breifly discussed as a possible duel boss encounter.
I didn't go over my initial plans for the Kraken or the Sphinx (neither were "up to par").
My primary idea for Chimera was going to be a twin-boss battle *due to the two statues* sort of combining them with the Nemean Lion *since that would be crap as far as boss enounters are concerned* (UNLESS we use the creatues skin as a defense up or costume.......) and forcing Kratos to get the beasts to essentially inflict mortal wounds on one another then deal with the injured beasts (using their open wounds to deal the death blows). I also intended on making Zeus' Fury USEFUL against them since nothing short of a thunderbolt of Zeus could penetrate their skin *their claws also seemed to do the trick*. Now I have to rework it.
Phoenix and Ladon are the most developed of the bosses I've contributed thought to.
This topic covers a good portion of those ideas *needs reviving*
My idea for a large Minotaur/Cyclops half-breed would be akin to Borborgymos of MAGIC:
*on a grapple; we ride it like the Boss Minotaur with its spiked hammer laying in front of it spike-up, then when we jump over head to pull it down with us the spike lodges into its eye*
