Welcome gentlemen and ladies to a new incarnation of the Witty Caption Contest.As a mark of respect to the old thread I have not deleted it and I have titled this one differently. The 'typo' is in fact deliberate.Apologies if any images that I post have been used before, I shall endeavour to avoid doing so. So, I hear you ask what is it all about? Well friends, the title is a bit of a give away.I post a a God of War related image, then people post witty or, failing that, amusing captions to it. Sounds great! What can I win? Er, well, nothing currently, I haven't thought that far ahead. You will of course win the oportunity to amuse and amaze your peers with your shining wit. Unless anyone wishes to donate prizes.....? Wow, that sounds like prize enough for me. What are the rules? First and foremost adhere to all relevant GameSpot rules and regulations. Read and memorise the ToS doing so should stand you in good stead.Don't set out to insult and offend other posters, doing so would contravene the ToS.No copying other peoples ideas/themes. Doing so will void your entry. The captions posted must only refer to what is visible in the picture, you might think it funny to refer to a gyrating giraffe (or whatever you will) located just offscreen but doing so will void your entry. Try and keep it short, brevity is wit.I'm sold! How long do I have to enter? I'm glad you asked mysterious bold poster, I shall post a picture today, Friday. Entries will be allowed immediately for a duration of ten days.I will then list the entries on the next Monday (ten days later) and voting will begin. One vote per member. any of you that have sock puppets please refrain from using them, doing so cheapens the whole affair and lacks **** and *****Four days of voting should take us to Friday. The winner will be announced and a new image will be posted.If after three days of voting it looks like a tie is imminent I shall call for a revote between the tied entries.If this is still does not see a victor emergere then a tie shall be declared Then the whole process repeats. So, we can *presently* win nothing but respect but will you keep score anyway, just so we know who is the wittiest or most amusing poster? A good question. Yes. I will. a WIN total will be updated at the bottom of this page FOR GREAT JUSTICE. Where will you source the images?Er? From the internets and my own achives. Anyone wishing for a particular image to be used should send me a message with a link to the image. What happens in the event of a three way tie? Er, well, not to put too fine a point on it but nothing. Heck nothing is unlikely to happen in the event of a two way tie.
