Owners of DotD *MAJOR SPOILERS*

Ok to repeat, MAJOR MAJOR SPOILERS, I made this topic so that people who have gotten the game, and or play'd it a lot have a place to discuss, As of now I think there should be 1-2 people out there playing the game atm beside me.

I'm currently 35% through the game with about 5 hours, thus far I completed the first colum of Cynder's armor and it game additional poison dmg for a set bonus, and I haven't gotten any full sets for Spyro yet, I am **** loving this game, I swear. I mean it's like which hard sometimes, and I shout a curse here, and a "you cheap bastard" there but I think it's for the best, i'd rather play a game thats kinda hard than a game that I breeze through because it's so easy. I can't tell you guys how long it took me to figure out the raft part when you need to save Medow, I'd hit circle to latch cynder onto the raft then go "wtf do I do now" and it took me just as long to get that magic upgrade emerald in the happy green foresty area where you need to bring one of those heavy keys and drop it on the latch to open the gate, there goes like 2 hours lol, The Gaurdiens loolk bad ass the golem looks which I swear everything LOOKS AWESOME, i'm totaly geeking out over this game.

I suppose we can ask each other questions about the game here as well if your having trouble in a particulary difficult location, like... how the hell to put the fire out when you first reach the dragon city seriously I barely beat that part lol.

!!! How do you do the darn raft part!! I am SOO stuck there.. I tried beating that monster at the top of a climbing wall but I can't hurt him at all! How do I get past this part!mshgaw

OK, the first thing you need to do is unlock the raft, to do this you need to go to this swampy looking area through a waterfall, once inside it you need to fly up stream of the river and once you get as far as you can go, turn around, and look for vines to climb up on (that took me a while to figure out) after that just do some platforming untill you reach the old hermit and after some cut scenes and fighting you'll get what basically is, the key, to unlock the room with the raft keys, lol.

So then go out back to the happy sunshine forest or w/e it's called lol, find the room with the raft keys it's hiding near some trees I believe if you fly past the giant waterfall that looks like it splits up into tiny streams and theres dirt looking floors there, fly so that waterfall is on your right and the room should be on the right side somewhere as well.

OK so now you can pick up those heavy keys that limit your flying, make sure to have Spyro pick one up, then switch to Cynder and have her pick one up so you have a total of 2, then you need to make your way over to the raft, once you've made it to the raft drop the keys onto the platform to unlock the raft, now (this part took me a while to figure out too) once the raft is unlocked, fly up the river real quick to make sure theres nothing blocking the raft's path, go back to the raft, and have Cynder or Spyro land on the raft and hold on tight to it, THEN you switch to the other character that isn't holding onto the raft, and they will fly/pull the raft up stream.

To beat the special "Elite Enemies" as they're called you need to wack at them with the right element, this can be one of Spyro's OR Cynder's elements, so if the monster is wearing a red helmet, his element might be Spyro's Fire or Cynder's Fear, the way you can tell if your hitting it with the right element is your combo will start going up, I found this out in the escape the catacombs level after you chop the golems arm off, because the tutorial or w/e actualy tells you theres one elite enemy in that area.

Anymore questions, feel free to ask, I beat the game all ready, took me about 10 hours, and the ending just... not gonna spoil it, but... freaking fantasticly stunning, I swear I almost cry'd, I think i'll wait a while before going all hyper and start talking like, oh yeah remember this part and that part and yhatta yhatta. Also I unlockeed the art for Spyro and Cynder in the bonus section man... those drawings are so damn awesome, SO AWESOME, it's a tad depressing to me that I can't draw that good I'm practicing and practicing right now but gees... idk, right now my deviantart profile sucks because it's so empty and pathetic but I plan to upload a bunch of dragon sketches i've done soon, but more ont hat later, AGAIN any questions regarding DOTD ask away, and sry for the really really long post, I cant help it lol XP

I read it, and answer'd best I could, hope it helped, I'm working on beating the game again, but I wanna get every armor and life/magic upgrade before fighting Maelfore, and I really really wanna see the ending cutscenes again cause... they were freaking awesome, OH and so yeah... saw who dies in the game, I almost cry'd, I realy did, then Spyro threw a bit of a temper tantrum but it's understandable as well has freaken awesome to watch.... LOVE THIS GAME!!

Ok so um, what was your favorite armor combo in the game?

Me, I liked the Silver looking ones that gave Spyro "Nuclear Hit" and Cynder "Poisonouse Hit" They so ovensively delightful lol i'm not really into the "Immune to Stun" sets at all, even though that is a pretty damn useful thing to have, and as for the one that gives you acsess to the Furry Breathe yeah it's cool if you keep dieing on some bad guy and you just wanna tourch their ass but it's sucha magic sponge. LOVE THIS GAME

I loved the third armor set for both cause it gives them FURY BREATH! But right now I have to wait @ 96% cause my game got a REALLY BAD scratch and now I need a scratch remover. (This sux)ReviewKing

I tripped over my Xbox 360 while it was playing (Small room, and no where to put stuff other than teh floor), and now I'm trying to get it repaired or get another copy.ReviewKing

Anyone else think there might be another game in the works for LoS series? at the moment... it really doesn't look like it, but I guess i'm just being optomistic or imaganative, but I can see it hapeneing.Dakuu

I have realized something that Malefor said that really bugs me

MAJOR SPOILER DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TOO!

Malefor stated the following: " I'm sure you have been told that I was the first of our kind, but I assure you there have been many." I think they can continue off this, it could be about the first purple dragon, or the others.

So what your saying is that they could make another Spyro game, but the main character wouldnt be Spyro? but rather some other purple dragon before his time?

No no no, the main character would still be Spyro, just you learn about the other purple dragons in the game, and if possible, encounter tem, because remember that Malefor was supposed to be dead, thats why he is one of the oldest dragons alive, or at least WAS one of them. Or there is the chance that Malefor could still be alive.

Maybe Malefor was one of the first Dragons? I'm really jumping in at the deep end here since I haven't really experienced any of LOS properly yet, but it just seems logical to me. ;)Iceferno

Thats right, i forgot, you havent gotten the game yet, huh? Malefor wasn't the first purple dragon, there have been others, Malefor was the first RECORDED purple dragon.

You know what the stupid thing is? We may never know... They might give more info in the upcomming movie, but i think that is only going to be about the games, not a spin-off of them. :(

You know how determined I was to get all the information related to Dawn of the Dragon, because of how anxious I was about playing it? Well, that's how I feel again about a future game. Once the official word gets out of another Spyro game, then I'm hunting down all the information possible about it.

It's only a matter of time now! And if the movie is solely based on ANB, I'm gonna cry.
They have PLENTY of enough time to incorporate all three games into that movie. They definitely should. It would be amazing if they did.

And I'm really going to promise to be more on top of things around the movie. I felt as if I really didn't do that much of my duty for the union. Eddy ended up picking up all the loose ends.....:?

No, you did plenty already, and are still doing so now. Who was the one with a lot of the DotD and movie related information when this union first started? I'm merely helping you out in the cause you and the others here began. It's not a contest to get all these updates, so don't worry about pushing yourself.

And I also think there will be another Spyro game. Actually, I guarantee you will see another one in the future. I know Sierra will continue to make more, looking at the effort they made sure was put into Dawn of the Dragon. :)

YES!!! I finnaly found more people who agree with me, I just wonder if the next game will be off DOTD, or just a spin-off. As some people know, in DotD, Malefor said something that really bugged me, and it could be the point of the next game in the "Legend of Spyro" series, granted of they are making one. :P

Another game after DOTD? I hope not. I just want the original style back. If they make another LOS game, it might mean the end of the classic Spyro. I just have that feeling... :|Iceferno

With the way things are now, and what the majority of the target audience is, don't expect them to suddenly turn to the old style again. The melee attacks, health/magic bars, and combo system is what seems to appeal to the majority of gamers (younger teens) these days, so they are probably going to stick with those for now.

No, Aerosite. Your not alone. I love both series, but Dawn of the Dragon solidified my love for the Legend series to its fullest. In actuality, you can say I STILL beat the game yet.
I did beat Malefor and see everything, but I did something pretty smart!

After I beat the game, I had 92% completed. But since you can gain the other important stuff WITHOUT it affecting story mode. So I collect the things I need, beat Malefor, but DO NOT save it.

This way, I can gain 100% of the game and see the ending of the game literally whenever I want! :PSOADjoe19

Not quite what I did, When I first beat the game, I was at 94%, I didn't bother to go back to chapter select and get everything. I started the game over, and spent at an average of about 3-4 hours in each level collecting everything, I didn't go on Untill I was over 100% sure I got all I could get. I even got my breath attacks al the way up about halfway through the Burning lands.8) I have also beaten the game 100% on multiplayer mode also.

You don't know how enjoyable it was too kill Malefor after all the hell I went through to get all that stuff, but yea it was fun.

That is how I am, I get a new game, I play it untill I either beat it 100%, or I beat the stroyline about 5 time, then move on. Busy gaming life.:P

Well, it's nothing special, but a pretty nice variant on the Tetris experience. I got 4 achievements at the start and haven't gotten anything since. I might have to pay a visit to Xbox360Achivements for more in-depth descriptions on how to get some others.
