I'm not saying now nor ever that all religions are equal because I am Christian and I believe through and through that is the best religion out there. I am not a religious relativist, but I am one to speak for religious tolerance. You wouldn't take a shot at muhammad, you wouldn't take a shot at budda ... so why take a shot at Jesus? He as God is as important to my faith as those who created the other religions in the world.

You are IMHO completely overeacting.

I honestly do not see how it is a shot at your faith. Nor do I see how is intollerant.

That's rather hypothetical but he hasn't taken a shot at Jesus as far as I can see.

I'm a Christian too and honestly, I wasn't offended that he was insulting Jesus, becuz he really isn't. But I was offended that such a lousy caption won.

All things aside, the painting itself was rather strange (he really IS glowing...) and the fact that he's making fun of how the artist portrayed Jesus doesn't mean he's making fun of Jesus necessarily. Outside of the context, the remark could be highly offensive, but in this context he was just trying to be clever with the portrayal in the painting. Or at least, that's how I saw it.

yes, irmeleeman5995 is right. I apologize if I offended anyone with my caption. I was just trying to interpret the painting in the most humorous way possible, and that was what first came to mind. I'll delete it now.

It's pretty easy to think up a caption for this one if you know the context of it.

But you don't... nevertheless as I said before that's where the skill comes in!
