The only real problems with it is things like health issues (which can be avoided), human trafficking, etc.kris9031998if it were legal and taxed then only the best prostitutes would thrive, that's how the free market works.
no consent, you know this, why do i have to spell it out for you!?sex is an innate right, so why is rape illegal?

It's really creepy for starters, and the only people who would take advantage of it would be weirdos.
So no to weirdos.

o dear, i suppose innate rights aren't so unlimited
Brah sex is a gift from god made to be used in the context of marriage. Prostitution is a different story and a total mockery of the design of God straight from evil

Wrong, in countries where it is legal, this is still a problem.

tell me, what's the difference between paying a prostitute to have sex and paying for drinks to score a one night stand? :P
Sexual interest in you vs. having sex with you for your money.[QUOTE="nZiFFLe"]

Sexual interest in you vs. having sex with you for your money. One man's weird is another man's normal. You can't base laws on something so subjective. You need an objective test.[QUOTE="nZiFFLe"]

Separation of Church and State? (I'm being facetious, but my point is we shouldn't base our laws off of something that a fraction of the population believes)The religions of our country would sh*t a brick.

Sex is not an innate right, but prostitution should be legal for the basic reason that criminalizing it causes more harm than good.
Sex is not an innate right? Would you care to explain what you mean by that? How is it not an innate right?Sex is not an innate right, but prostitution should be legal for the basic reason that criminalizing it causes more harm than good.

Other than the fact that its hard to tax, I truly feel that some politicians and private citizens are so demonic that they actually like to see some people suffer. And a man with no sex life is definitely suffering. Some guys have a hard time getting a girl regardless of how good they are. And low income guys really have a hard time getting a girl. Prostitution is what gives every guy a fair chance of having a womanYakuza-DragonIf prostitution was legal we'd just be a much more sexual nation. People would have sex younger and more often and by the time they met someone they really loved they'd be extremely experienced; you know... I'm not really seeing a downside here.

It is not an "innate" right. I've never heard of such a claim. It's not a right like life, property, food, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc.
whipassmt
It's not exactly an innate right, but it could be considered an innate biological need.
[QUOTE="whipassmt"]I disagree. I am fine in my present state. Spoken like a true virgin. Trust me, once you discover it, you will understand why there's 7 billion of us. fah! Sounds too darn germy to me.[QUOTE="Yakuza-Dragon"]And a man with no sex life is definitely suffering. l4dak47

Not true. People live celibately and don't die. It's not like food or water.[QUOTE="GameGuy642003"]HAHAHAHAHA I laughed hard. Yeah, lets legalize human trafficking Orayus
Actually if prostitution was legal and regulated, human trafficking would go down significantly.
I guess the reason why it's illegal is because no one wants to see their daughter perform sexual acts for various men and vice versa. I mean, lets face it: Even if you're for legalizing of prostitution, you would not want to see your daughter go through that. Call it sexism but it's a fact.
I don't think prostitution should be legal but I don't think it should be a high priority for police. In fact, I'm indifferent on the issue but if given a choice, I'd rather keep it illegal. Illegal prostituion isn't a major problem here so it's basically a non-issue.

Kind of.They both had sex, but the girl is still selling her body rather than learning a real skill or working at a real job, and the guy isn't learning proper "courtship" or the right way to hit on and pick up a girl.
