prostitution should be 100 percent legal. my morals and the way i live my life should not influence what people want to do with their bodies. and since prostitution thrives in a recession, maybe the US would be better off legalizing it. we need to keep dangerous prostitution off the streets by making it legal. what are your thoughts on prostitution, should it be legal? would you be a prostitute if you were stuck in a rut?

I think you put up a very good argument. I say legalize everything that doesn't infringe on anyone else's rights (not wearing your seatbelt, doing drugs, soliciting your body for prostitution, etc) Don't get me wrong, I'm against some of those things, but I think the best way to fix them isn't by making them illegal, but by offering some kind of free rehabilitation program or something of that nature.
It's really creepy for starters, and the only people who would take advantage of it would be weirdos.

It is legal in progressive countries. In the United States one of the two political parties is heavily founded in Christianity and has issues with sex being for anything other than procreation in a healthy family structure.

Actually if prostitution was legal and regulated, human trafficking would go down significantly.
I guess the reason why it's illegal is because no one wants to see their daughter perform sexual acts for various men and vice versa. I mean, lets face it: Even if you're for legalizing of prostitution, you would not want to see your daughter go through that. Call it sexism but it's a fact.
I don't think prostitution should be legal but I don't think it should be a high priority for police. In fact, I'm indifferent on the issue but if given a choice, I'd rather keep it illegal. Illegal prostituion isn't a major problem here so it's basically a non-issue.

They both had sex, but the girl is still selling her body rather than learning a real skill or working at a real job, and the guy isn't learning proper "courtship" or the right way to hit on and pick up a girl.
