The Sci-Fi network has played a movie or 2 lately that don't actually fit into the Sci-Fi movie category,so this doesn't suprise me on their part,but it seems as though WWE is just kissing up to NBC by getting ECW to be on one of their networks,I mean it's the freaking sci-fi network,the only wrestling related thing that I planned on seeing on there was Chris Jericho in his android movie.
Thgis just not a bad more that it is an awkward and weird decision on WWE's behalf,but we'll see,hopefully USA will squeeze it in to their schedule...hopefully.
I don't know if I even get the Sci-Fi channel considering I've had no interest in the channel ever. This decision makes just as much since as G4 showing half the crap that channel shows these days, NONE!
I'm going to forget about this a week or two after it starts most likely.
Supposedly, Sci-Fi is going to get a makeover like how SpikeTV was made over from TNN when RAW was being shown there. If that's the case, then it makes sense since it's matching what SpikeTV is showing. If it's not that, then the only other thing I can think of is that they both (ECW and Sci-Fi) pretty much cater to the same demographics.
This actually is a good thing, I don't remember what channel Sci-Fi is here (with 300+ who can?) but a network which this will probably be their largest drawing show will easily free up adequate time for the show. Had the show been on USA they might have only been able to free up an hour in the primetime area, but on Sci-Fi they should be able to give them as much time as needed.
