Oh goody...Shannon Moore is coming to ECW... I cannot wait...

icytower38

Did I miss something again?

Also, I like the chant directed at Flair.

Apparently, you have... It showed bried shot of him (he did not say anything) and it said "Shannon Moore is coming to ECW."

Also, I must have missed something. I mean, I watched Ric Flair's entrance, however, I did not hear what the audience was chanting...what were they chanting?

Well I guess I could be wrong considering that I've missed so much. But I heard an "old man Flair" chant while the ref was "searching" him.

I thought they were saying "All hail Flair" but I could be wrong...

They started chanting "Thank you Flair" at the end of the match.

I thought it was a really good ECW tonight. I was not disapointed at all. And Kontenks you made a bad decision on choosing the bath over ECW. Does anyone else see a Dreamer/Test Rivalry that would be really good.

I have to applaud the effort of Ric Flair and the Big Show.  That match turned out better than anything I could have expected out of the massive Show and a 97 year old man.  I wasn't too happy with the match in the beginning, but I'm glad I stuck with it, because it got very fun once Flair started hitting low blows.  Then, both men hitting the thumbtacks, I have to applaud the effort.  Indeed, "thank you, Flair."  The match also served its purpose in the grander scheme better than I could have imagined.

All in all, not a great show, but I don't regret watching it, either.

I liked tonight's crowd.

I really liked Heyman's opening promo.  Heyman has always been a good talker and an even better salesman and he has me interested in where things go from here.

Test vs Tommy was meh.

I skipped Kelly and whatsherface and I don't regret that.

Sabu vs Justin Credible was all right for what it was, but deserved a lot more.  I was glad to at least hear Styles acknowledge the history between these two, even if it was nothing more than a passing mention.  A DQ in ECW?

Again, I liked the main event and really appreciated the effort.

To be quite honest, going into the main event I was a little worried. I'm not that big of a Flair fan and I didn't know if he could put forth the same kind of match he had in the past. The main event was good. It wasn't great, but it kept me entertained... although, I'm wondering why they had to check for weapons in an "extreme" match. It's not like it would matter if they were hiding brass knuckles, as anything goes. I was glad that the fans chanted "Thank you, Flair" at the end of the match.

As for the rest of it, the CM Punk promo was pretty good. I would have liked it more if he and Sabu had a match (with Punk as the winner, and then talking trash about how Sabu did drugs)... it would have been better than Justin Credible being squashed again. The Test/Dreamer match was alright, at least this one was a back and forth one, but it is sad to see that Dreamer still can't get a win on ECW (I don't think he's one a match so far, including the times he's been beaten up by Show). The expose was nice and I liked that Sandman, rather than beating up some random dude, took out Mike Knox (is that how you spell his name?).

However... vampire-man is coming. *sheds some tears*

I will never doubt Ric Flair again. I doubted him for TLC V and I doubted him tonight and both time he proved me wrong. I never expected those two guys to pull of that great of a TV match. Oh yeah and that tack in the back of the head... ouch.

Well as I have said a few times, I wasn't paying full atention so it probably was "All hail Flair" and not "Old man Flair"

I did watch Flair V. Show fully, and I do believe it turned out as a good match. Unfortunetly that's really all I can comment on considering the show didn't hold my attention until that match.

To be honest, I missed several parts of the show, by either changing channels or walking out of the room for various reasons, most of which had nothing to do with the show.  Possibly because of it, I didn't like this show.  Only the last part of Flair/Show actually entertained me.

I liked a bunch of stuff from tonight's show...

1. Kelly and Sandman caning were both taken care of at once, wasted less time.

2. Awesome promo by Heyman.

3. Sabu not caring about the rules = good. I don't care for the rules either...

4. Dreamer/Test. It had good back and forth action. Too bad the no extreme rules match thing hurt it...a lot. Dreamer could have made the match interesting.

5. Flair...nuff said.

6. The main event was something you don't usually see on FREE TV!! That's shocking...and good.

7. CM Punk is coming...wooo!

8. Moooooorrreeee!!! Moooorreeeee!!! Actually...this goes on my "don't care" list. It could be good for ECW though so let's not put it on the bad list just yet.

9. The whole vampire thing worked IMO...it was weird...but it worked in setting "Fertig" up as the vampire he is.

Bad List:

1. Kelly...although the dancing was....**drools** you know what I mean...

2. Only matches labeled as "extreme" are extreme....UGH!!!!

I can't think of anything else. It was a good show overall.

My thoughts:

Like trick-man said, I will never doubt Flair again. Flaiur has proven me wrong twice now, and the whole "Can Flair do it?" angle is more entertaining than I would have believed. Hell, he made a match with Big Show great. That alone deserves respect. And uh, tac in the back of the head, that had to hurt.

Sabu vs. Credible: For what it's worth, it was ok. I wish it was longer, but it did show that Sabu is still a rule-defiant maniac.

The Expose and Sandman in the same segment: cool. It only took up about 8 minutes of our lives.

Dreamer vs. Test was good, but I still want to see a full fledged contest between the two. I think there is serious potential in this fued.

Punk and Moore both coming to ECW, sweet. I wonder if they will be used properly. We can only pray.

Overall, IMO, this has been the best ECW yet.

That CM Punk promo was weird. It was like they were making him out to be a hippie. "I wanna beat the system man, my tattoos have their own story.."

For God's sakes just let him wrestle!

Ah, all good things come to those who wait.

I am glad that his career is kicking off by showing off his charisma. He sure made a "declaration" during his promo last night which is building up CM Punk as a star of the future in the WWE.

Oh and after just watching the main-event between Show and Flair, I have really learnt my lesson to never doubt Flair. Surprisingly, he can still draw.

This ECW was pretty good. I didn't know Flair still had it in him. He is still the best "seller" in the history of professional wrestling.

Yep, ECW was actually good last night. Flair and Show did their thing last night. It was hardcore alright. Their match wasn't as bad as I once thought.

I know that Ric Flair had a tack stuck in his head and it hurt, but Abyss would be angry reading all your posts. He had about 6 tacks stuck in his head at Turning Point 2004 against Monty Brown when Monty throw him head firts into the tacks, and they even showed the tacks being removed from his head backstage.

Sorry, I just had to bring that up. Anyway, I was surprised how the match went. Right when I saw the barbed wire in the trash can, I just knew I had to keep watching for something good. Surprisingly good match from these two.

No one's saying Abyss ain't tough, they're just saying how they all doubted Flair and he proved them all wrong. Besides, a tack to the head hurts a lot more for a 60 year old than a man of Abyss's age.

I can't stand having one tack in my foot (I shutter at the though) Both of those men had them in their heads and bodies. We're not saying Abyss isn't tough, we're just applauding Flair for a great effort last night.

I'm watching it right now!!! I wish they would've done Hardcore Hangover from the start. I want to watch some of RVD previous performance.
