"....as sad as this is for me to say, i see nintendo tanking big time in the next year or two. with the development of gameboy micro and ds and revolution, they are gonna have a huge sales loss. first of all because people are going to go and buy xbox 360 and ps3 way before revolution even comes out and right now, those two are more appealing except for revolution's downloadable game library. also i don't see the micro doing so well since it's freakin tiny and a ds or gba are more appealing. and i really don't see the ds surviving here in the states. i think after sony wises up and lowers the price of a psp, the ds will lose sales. also, nintendo hasn't been playing it smart the last how many years in the console wars (no online, too many children friendly games, mini cds, n64 cartridges)"
Well, we will see, but so far the DS is in winning by 2 millions unts world wide, last time I checked. In the states alone, last time I checked, the DS was out sold the PSP by more 1 million units. Also, you have to remember that Nintendo has owned the handheld market for the past 15 years before Sony even enter the market, there are smart with the handheld market than the console market.
Also, many people were to say they were very please with the DS showing at E3, while many said they were really disappointed with the PSP showing. Finally, even more people will buy the DS to play game such as Animal Crossing DS and Mario Kart DS online, trust me. I think the Micro well do decently, but do not think it will lose Nintendo a lot of money or gain a lot of money either.
As far the Revolution, Nintendo is planning to produce it a cheaper rate than both the X360 and PS3, according to the many experts. If anyone will money on a console more than anyone else, it will be Sony with their expensive Cell chip and Poweful Graphics chip. Either Sony is going to have sell the PS3 for 500 dollars from what I have head or lose mony on every system they sell, at least that is what I remember hearing from GameSpot. Also, with the X360, people are saying they will lose 75 dollars on every system sold, so Revoution is not look bas as you put IMHO. There is my two cents on the subject!
