Yeah that's cool.... I liked Aries before I liked Strong anyway, but now that I think about it the KENTA vs. Aries contest should be much more competitive and have even more of an athletic display since both men mesh different styles together.

I'm not going to argue which match is going to be better, because I think the point is moot, they are both going to be awesome.

What I'd like to point out is how huge of an endorsement from ROH this is for both Aires and Strong.  A year ago, absolutely no one would have thought or, probably, wanted Strong booked in a high profile match with a Japanese wrestler.  This, IMO, cements their move into the upper echelon of ROH (at least for Strong, I suppose the ROH Title was endorsemnet enough for Aires).  Still, I think it needs to be pointed out how big an endorsement and vote of confidence this is.

those are general admission seats, they are 20 dollars and there are also 25 dollar 5th row reserved seats...but honestly, i'd prefer the GA.

Tickets continue to sell rapidly for Ring of Honor's first ever live shows outside of the United States, with only a small number of tickets from the number put on sale last week believed to be remaining for dates in the United Kingdom this August.

ROH are set to start announcing matches in the near future, with the ROH World Title set to be defended in the UK. Current World Champion Bryan Danielson will be part of the tour, as will Jay and Mark Briscoe, who will be making their UK debuts.

Colt Cabana and Austin Aries - who are fast becoming regulars in the UK (both with 1PW plus Cabana with other UK based promotions) - are also confirmed for August's dates, as is Chad Collyer

Several UK based wrestlers are also set to be announced as appearing on the tour, including Doug Williams and Spud, who made his Ring of Honor debut last month in Ohio.

WrestleMag will be at the Liverpool Olympia and Broxbourne Civic Hall on August 12 and 13 respectively to provide live match-by-match results from ROH's first ever live events outside the United States.

Also, its awesome news that Doug'll be a part of the UK Tour.  Either him vs Dragon or him vs Nigel for the respective belts would be really, really good.

Also, I wonder what's in store for the Pure Title over the weekend.  I'd really like to see Shelley vs McGuinness.  Sadly, I doubt Shelley'd win due to his involvement with TNA, but the man is tailor made to be Pure Champ and could really be a great Pure Champion.  Also, is ROH ever going to come through with Shelley-Styles after taunting us with it at Final Battle?  I'd love to see what they could put together in a ROH ring

May 8th: NWA World Heavyweight Champion Christian Cage is looking forward to his only scheduled ROH match when he makes his ROH debut on Friday at Sports Plus. Christian knows how tough to please the ROH fans are and he is coming to make an impression. He has not dropped any hints as to who his partner will be in the dream partner main event. All Christian has told us is that he has one specific competitor in mind. ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson doesn't even seem to care who his partner is as he believes that he can defeat Christian and his partner on his own. There is going to be a lot of pride on the line in this one when champion meets champion.

May 8th: The Briscoes vs. Generation Next war will kick off on Friday in Long Island. We've already seen Jay & Mark Briscoe jump ROH Tag Team Champions Austin Aries & Roderick Strong, now Long Island will see the first official matches. It will be Jay vs. Aries and Strong vs. Mark in singles matches. This will be a true test of all four men's athletic abilities. Both these matches could easily be main events and steal the show.

May 8th: Kikitaro's opponent for Friday in Long Island will be determined in a Four Corner Survival on the preshow featuring ROH Wrestling School graduates Shane Hagadorn vs. Pelle Primeau vs. Dereck Dempsey vs. Mitch Franklin. This will be a golden opportunity for one of these upcoming athletes. ROH officials have been very happy with the progress of the graduates and more opportunities will come their way. The ROH Wrestling School graduates have also proven their toughness as ROH's security force with the recent altercations involving CZW. The graduates have done a great job as ROH security with all the recent mayhem. ROH officials are looking to give them more ring time against veterans so that they can grow as wrestlers. Since I still see Claudio winning, I think Claudio, Niles Young, Aires and Sydal will be the finals.  However, I also expected some interaction between Claudio and Daniels, which does not occur in this scenario or my Roderick winning scenario, but that could be being saved for an ROH show.  This scenario does provide an opportunity for another wedge to be driven between Sydal and Aires, though, as they could cost each other the match.  Who knows, though?  However it plays out, it still looks like a very good show for CZW.

I really like the idea of an ROH guy taking BOTB and a CZW guy taking SOTF, though.

Yeeesss!!! Shelley vs Nigel for the Pure Title. Man, I really, really want to see Shelley win the Pure Title. I don't see it happening, but what a way to round out an awesome card for the 13th. Also, Nigel going after the Tag titles ought to be interesting, however, his claim loses a lot of steam if GenNext does not pull out a win over the Briscoes. Ring Of Honor does not have any official page on Myspace. Ring Of Honor also has no affiliation or endorsement of any page on Myspace.

In other words, the supposed Chris Hero hacked myspace ROH page has nothing to do with ROH, the real Chris Hero or the "angle" that is going on now (and I wouldn't call the whole deal with Hero and CZW an angle anyway).

I just wanted to clarify that.

I'm not going to be on for most of this weekend, so I can trust that sephy and/or Darren will keep us up to date on the results.  This is looking to be a huge weekend, I can't wait.

Pre-Show Matches:

1) Bobby Dempsey & Alex Payne defeat Ernie Osiris & Rhett Titus. Osiris pinned by Bobby Dempsey after a Death Valley Driver.

2) Pelle Primeau wins the #1 Kikitaruship Four Corner Survival. Pelle Primeu pins Derek Dempsey with a rollup. Other two in the match were Shane Hagadorn and Mitch Franklin. Pelle vs Kikitaru later tonight!

Ring Of Honor - Long Island, New York

1) Matt Sydal defeats Jimmy Yang after a Shooting Star Press. After the match, Yang told the fans to check him out on WWE.com.

2) Four Corner Survival - McGuinness vs Cabana vs Delirious vs Daniels. Interrupted during intros by Christian Cage. Christian asked Colt Cabana to be his tag team partner tonight...Colt Cabana accepted. Cabana & Christian vs Danielson & ??? as of now. This brings out the "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson. Danielson is asking Christopher Daniels to be his partner. The match is set- Bryan Danielson & Christopher Daniels vs Christian Cage & Colt Cabana. Danielson also promised Daniels a future title shot. Match changed leading to...

3) Three Way Dance - Delirious defeats Nigel McGuinness & Kikitaru. Delirious makes Kikitaru tap with his main submission.

3) Alex Shelley & Jimmy Rave defeat The Rottweilers by DISQUALIFICATION. Match lasted around 19 minutes. Rotts were DQ'd when Julius Smokes interfered and attacked Jimmy Rave. After the match, Homicide responded to Jim Cornette with "F*ck you people, and f*ck this company" and the Rottweilers left.

Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli have stormed the ring. BJ Whitmer and Adam Pearce enter.

4) KOW Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli defeat Adam Pearce & BJ Whitmer. ROH Official Todd Sinclair was going at it with CZW "ref" Bryce Remsburg during the fight. The Necro Butcher aided Hero in pinning Adam Pearce. Samoa Joe hit the ring, but CZW retreated.

**Attendance "about the same as Glory By Honor". Big pop for Christian, but during his promo the crowd seemed 50/50 split between Danielson and Christian.**

At one point, the crowd chanted "F*ck TNA" but Christopher Daniels got on the mic and shut it down saying "this is about pro wrestling, not about TNA". No title shot for Daniels for now.
