Idiot. Luckily the flawed American legal system hardly considers DUI a serious offense.

I bet Santino went "Mama Mia!" when he got arrested. Now all he needs is the red hat.

Santino Marella was released from custody at 11:35AM ET today after posting a $500 bond. He was arrested early this morning on DUI charges after a night out drinking with ECW star Kevin Thorn and a few developmental wrestlers.

Marella was pulled over after police noticed his car drifting back and forth. After being pulled over, police noticed that Marella had "bloodshot, watery and glassy eyes." Marella failed several several roadside tests given to him by authorities (and couldn't keep his balance in one) and was arrested for driving under the influence. His blood alcohol level was later revealed to be .061 which is below the legal limit of .08, but the DUI charge stands since his blood alcohol level wasn't tested until hours after he has been in custody. Awesome in occasional doses. Drinking every night with the sole purpose to get drunk isnt awesome. Using it to mellow out, or just enjoying a drink is fine, and hell, its a great way to celebrate. But pisstanks and drunk drivers piss me the hell off.

I think you are misinterpreted my post, that you thought was misinterpreted. I was agreeing with you, hence the link to the story about Dan Cena, John Cena's brother, on how he is recovering from injuries after being hit by a drunk driver.

Alcohol is absoulutly disqusting there is no dang reason to drink something that you could get the same taste from ROOT BEER, and also get completely tired, sick and not even know what your doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing is good about alcohol, There are things good about soda, not alcohol.

Just dont reply, and if you ask me my age again i will report you

Seriously dude, you are so wrong. Alcohol is good to a certain extent. If you get drunk enough and decide to go drive, then its too far. The American system on DUIs is not flawed. My dad got one and is screwed for the rest of his life, and on another note, shut up about the age crap. You do sound like your 12.

Back to Marella, he shouldnt have been doing it, but why its any ones buisness but his own and the WWE i will never understand. The press needs to learn the concept of privacy.

yeah, i mean when i said alcohol was awesome, i meant that you can have a drink while celebrating, and even have fun. To get awefully wasted every day, its just stupid. I have an alcoholic uncle, and i pretty much hate him because of that. But having a few drinks every once in a while isn't bad. The fact that you compared alcohol to root beer, then you obviously have not had any drop of alcohol before.

Back to Santino, he's an idiot. Reminds me of RVD DUI'ng with Sabu. Of course he was high, and Marella was drunk. Same difference, you don't drive under those conditions.

Punishments for drinking and driving arent nearly severe enough when you consider how dangerous it is.

Years in jail, suspended or permanent loss of license, countless hours of community service, what more punishment do you need? Life in prison and or the death penalty?

Thats only for repeated offenses or for causing a death though. He got a slap on the wrist, and probably will still drink and drive.

As for the guy saying that Root Beer has the same effect as Miller, a shot, or wine, you really need to learn up on things before you try to start something. While Joss didn't need to call you 12, you don't need to make threats in response. I'm freaking Straight Edge (and before anyone says it, this was prior to me even knowing what ROH or CM Punk were), and I don't get as mad as you do. Chill out.

Two things. One, not everyone found guilty has to do that, or anything close to that. Most people get a slap on the wrist, a fine or probation. Two, the only way you would get jail time is if you caused injury to someone, or are a repeat offender.

Here's a fast fact for you. Over 80% of those who commit a DUI re-offend.

my dad got his first one and faced jail time. luckily for my family he didnt.
Just because offenders re-offend doesnt mean its the fault of the law, its the fault of the offender. Any one can break a law again. its by personal choice, not by flaws in the american systems.

Dark_Hylian8

Or it could be since the punishments for it are obviously a joke, it doesnt deter people from doing it again. Drinking and driving is pretty much playing Russian Roulette, only with other people. I've known people who have drove while drunk, and I also know people killed by drunk drivers. The ones who have comitted it agree.

And for your dad to have faced jail time (probably a couple months at the most) he must have been really drunki, and driving very recklessly. Suprisingly (sarcasm) he didnt get jailtime.

My dad got a breathalyzer. Which is what most if not all offenders should do. Still dont see it as a joke, but yeah, that would really crack down the reoffenders.

Um okay. I didnt ask if your dad got a breathalyzer, but good to know? I dont see how that would crack down the re-offenders considering when they get caught they do have to take a breathalyzer... I dont see how anyone would think that would crack down on anything.

I'm studying law, and the general consensus is that DUI punishments are a joke, so I was a little surpised you thought the opposite...

I was saying that the breathalyzer was installed in the car. If they were intalled in offenders cars, the chances of reoffending are cut down alot. You cannot start the car without blowing into that doohickey, and it goes off every 20 min or so to prevent drinking while driving.

I was saying that because i dont see the punishments as a joke. I see them as fair punishment. However, I agree with you when you say that most reoffend. Therefore, i will say: The Punishments arent the joke, the prevention of possible reoffenses are. Will you agree with me there?
