Right now, there is no talk of John Cena losing to Edge Sunday at Unforgiven and being switched to the Smackdown brand. Plans could obviously change, but right now, WWE is not planning on moving Cena to Smackdown.

of course he may win, but might be a DQ win. I just cant see them doing this again to Edge, short title run again.

But the title is hanging above the ring. If Edge runs Cena can just grab the title and win, there's no way that could work.

No there won't be a DQ since the match ends as the winner grabs the belt suspended above the ring. Hence the name TLC really.

Edge has had about a three month run so far and I really would like them to push his reign a little longer this time round. However, with Cena's new movie coming out and all the "odds" stacked against Cena in the picture, it looks like he'll win the WWE Title for the third time already. Then again, SmackDown! is moving to that new network (CW) region and with SmackDown! being taped, the WWE could simply just portray the Cena they want the viewers to believe by playing cheers from the crowd and whatnot. Oh and Edge has revamped his title so it could actually be a symbol for things to come yet.

In the SmackDown! series (the video games), yes, TLC can only be won by pinfall. Weird that it is that way too.

However, the past four TLCs played out in reality have conducted the same format of climbing the ladder to grab the belt and win the match type.

More often than not wrestlers lose in their hometowns, but I still see Cena losing but that's just me.

If TNA can have DQ finish in No DQ match, than imagine that WWE could reach such levels of stupidy as well. Also, there is always the possibility of No finish ending, in one shape or another.

However, will all of this being said, imagine that there will be winner of the match and in all likely hood, that winner will be John Cena.

this is a joke, even with the fans turning on him, they feel the need for him to be a 3 time champ in like the space of 2 years. Gods sake, EDGE DESERVES a longer run than this.

It would be smart moving Cena over for the network premiere and all but whatever, Edge has only had about 1 title defense against Cena, that was his only tital defense in the 3 months I believe. Who has he pissed backstage to lose, in his hometown, in his specialty match?

Edge has had more than just one title defence against Cena in the last three months, there was SNME, Summerslam, and I am sure we got to see possibly at least another one on RAW a while ago.

As for moving Cena to SmackDown! for the new network showcase, yeah, I think SmackDown! would appreciate Cena's position and reputation and of course, value, for the launch and move. However, Cena is a big superstar in the WWE right now and they'll probably want to keep him on RAW for being classed in the so-called "A" brand.

Oh and losing in your hometown doesn't need to necessarily have pissed anyone off backstage. There are so many examples to pick from that is in the same situation and it can just benefit building up heat in a rivalry.

Yeah since the start of the year and the chapters have started to repeat themselves, I agree. If Cena wins, the feud has a 50/50 chance of carrying on, depending if Edge "has to" start from the back of the line or if he has one of those "rematch" clauses. Otherwise we'll be seeing new blood in the hunt for the title, possibly directing to the likes of Orton by the looks of things too.

If Edge retains, it should be the end of a very long circus.

That would put him better than Ric Flair and on equal footing with Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker as far as WWF Title reigns are concerned.

Actually, I do believe The Undertaker is 4-time WWE champion, not 3-time. (Def. Hogan in '91, Def. Sid in '97, Def. Austin in '99 and Def. Hogan in '02).

Yeah, I missed one in there.  I do believe it puts him on equal footing with Foley, though.

4 puts him on equal footing with Hart and Taker, and all things considered, he'll definately hit 4.  Ridiculous, even if it is a different age.

That just sucks. To think he's on equal terms with some of the most legendary wrestlers in history when it comes to title reigns is ridiculous. No one likes him, yet he's made out to be a legend in the ring already.

And there was me thinking Hunter would break Flair's record within the year or two last year. At the rate Cena's going, well, he's only had two so I wouldn't jump the gun just yet. Let's wait and see for tonight.

In defense of John Cena, The Rock became 3-time WWE champion in only matter of 3 months during his prime. Remember, The Rock had only been in WWE for matter of 2 years, in comparison, it took John Cena about 3 years to win his first WWE title. Granted, we are talking about The Rock and he is obviously one of the most popular guys ever to wrestle (and certainly deserved such an honor). However, my point is that John Cena is most certainly not the only one to win the WWE title multiply times at some what quicker rate. (By the way, I am saying this as someone who as many feelings of dislike as next for Cena. Simply put, I am only presenting the facts and trying to wided your perspective).

Good point (I agree). Before we breakout our touches and storm WWE head-quarters looking for John Cena's head on silver plater... how about we wait and see as hbk91 has already mentioned; okay? :P

I really don't want to point this out, but Jarrett will give himself 5 more titles before Hunter wins 7.
