I think his mic skills are great and seem to be improving each week. Obviously, this is his strength and the WWE is clearly focusing on what he does great.
I think obviously his weakness is his in-ring ability, but he is getting IMHO each week he wrestles, but still has lot to learn. He is decent IC champion, by not in the same league as Benoit-Bret-Y2J-Double J and etc.
His ring work needs a little more polish, but he is getting better. Seeing him work with Angle was a treat up to the point where Hogan wrecked the whole match turning it into a squash. Carlito is getting better at selling those "sneaky heel moves", little things like grabbing the trunks on the pin, or the cheap shot while Angle was distracting the referee.I agree...I couldn't stand carlito on SD but I have found a place for him respect wise on RAW
He's not the best in ring worker by any stretch of the imagination, but he's improving and still very young. His mic work is excellent and just gets better each week, the ring skills are lagging behind a little but are improving as well.hbk91
All I can do is pretty much mirror what everyone else said. Good on the mic, not so good in the ring. He really made the best out of an awful gimmick, also managing to make the best out of his in no way threatening look.
However, he also has serious questions about his in ring ability. He plays the cowardly heel pretty well, and knows how to sell his cheating ways but he just hasn't proven anything to me yet. He's currently right where he should be, a mid card heel, working with guys that can help him and make him look good in the ring. Luckily, for him, WWE seems to have patience with to allow his in ring work the chance to improve.
