WrestleMania 23 Location revealed: Detriot, Michigan

Confirmed at WrestleMania 22, I think this is deserving of it's own thread.

Ironically enough, this will be the first WrestleMania to take place in Michigan in 20 years. It will be held it Ford Field, becoming the first WrestleMania since XIX to take place in a large arena. What are your thoughts on this?

I think the most prominent question right now is can the WWE sell out at arena with an ocupancy around 80,000 in thier current state?

Anywho, they had SNME in Detroit and didn't give hometown hero RVD even so much as an appearance.  I have no idea how WWE could justify not having Michigan's own RVD as a featured part of Wrestlemania... but I'm confident that they will find a way.

On the bright side, ROH will likely piggy-back for at least a double-shot, which is always good.

Understandable location since the WrestleMania to put WrestleManias on the map happened there.  But next year will almost surely be Atlanta or Houston... and Dallas may be a very long-shot. trick_man01

You know I have to agree with you, I would love to see Wrestlemania be in Detroit since I can reach it easier and drive there, but Detroit is not a very vibrant city at all and Wrestlemania needs a more vibrant city like Atlanta or Houston and both have domes or retractable roofs
