Since the turn of 2009, the three main titles have changed hands a total of 8 times. World Heavyweight Championship three times (Edge from Cena, Cena from Edge, Edge from Cena), WWE Title three times (Edge from Jeff, HHH from Edge, Orton from Edge) and the ECW Title twice (Swagger from Matt Hardy, Christian from Swagger).

Compared to the whole of 2008, the WWE Title has already changed hands as many times this year as it did the whole of last year (HHH from Orton, Edge from HHH, Jeff from Edge). The World Heavyweight Championship changed hands 7 times last year ('Taker from Edge, Edge from 'Taker, Punk from Edge, Jericho from Punk, Batista from Jericho, Jericho from Batista, Cena from Jericho) and the ECW title changed hands 4 times (Chavo from Punk, Kane from Chavo, Henry from Kane, Matt Hardy from Henry). So...

TOTAL CHANGES 2009 (currently): 8

The fact that in less than a third of a year the main titles have changed hands more than half of the times it did in 2008 is kinda strange...

Some people may be disappointed with the line-up so far however if you've read the SD spoiler's, the E are setting up a match which I think will be awesome and will make Link in particular a very happy person

I have a VERY good feeling that Punk will beat Umaga (why is this "fued" happening anyway?) and Edge will retain and lose it to Punk that night. They are teasing this way to much for it not to happen.Dark_Hylian8

There's no point in taking the title off Christian this early so I'm going for him

Punk needs a win to build up his MITB win, however we all thought that at Backlash and look what happened there. Eh, I'm still going with Punk

Not bothered about this at all. Show dominates throughout the match, Cena does his Superman thing and gets the win out of nowhere

Candidate for Sleeper Match of the Night. If given enough time, it'll be something special

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Rey Mysterio (c) vs Chris Jericho

I'm really not sure about this match. I would like Jericho to win since he could do so much with the title and bring some prestige back, however Jericho's above this title now and he doesn't need it. Seeing as though this is supposed to be the start of a long rivalry between the two, I'll go with Rey and a rematch at Extreme Rules in a Cage Match or something. Candidate for Match of the Night

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Edge (c) vs Jeff Hardy

With Hardy's future still up in the air, the E would be stupid to put the title on him. There's also the fact that too many World titles has been changing hands lately. Like Rey/Jericho, I see a rematch at Extreme Rules, this time in a TLC Match

WWE Championship Match: Batista vs Randy Orton (c)

This is where Trips returns I'm afraid. Orton retains due to Trips interference backfiring which starts Batista's heel turn

Could be an entertaining show if the SD matches are giving the proper time they need to be good-great matches

I won't be. The only matches I think will deliver are Morrison/Shelton, Edge/Jeff, and Christian/Swagger.

Knowing the WWE, I bet they will have Punk job to Umaga and have him cash in his MITB later against Edge and lose to Edge. Hometown Booking 101.

My dream scenario is him cashing it in against Orton, losing, and then moving back to Raw and having a real feud against Orton that ends with Punk winning the title at Summerslam. Sigh, that would be sweet.
