The Champ vs. The Chairman
March 27, 2006
http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/preview/

It will be The Champ vs. The Chairman when RAW rolls into Omaha, Neb., next week.

Last week, Cena & Shawn Michaels faced Triple H & Shane McMahon in a tag team match. However, Mr. McMahon quickly disqualified Cena for using a closed fist, banishing the WWE Champion to the back and making a Handicap Match instead. Later, after Cena returned to help HBK in the Handicap Match, Mr. McMahon punished Cena by announcing that the WWE Champion would face him next week. Will the Chairman have something up his sleeve?

Also last week, Mickie James struck again, this time laying out Trish Stratus and kissing her after producing a bound-and-gagged Ashley as Trish’s surprise gift. This week Trish will team up with Torrie Wilson to take on Candice & Victoria. This match was originally supposed to take place at Saturday Night's Main Event, but Torrie had to be replaced by Mickie after she was knocked out during a backstage attack. Will Trish be able to pick up another tag team victory on RAW?

Plus, Big Show will participate in the Master Lock Challenge Monday on RAW. Since starting the challenge nearly one year ago, Chris Masters has yet to have anybody break his finisher. Will the mighty Big Show be the first one to do it?

Find out all this and more Monday night at 9/8 CT on the USA Network.

I think that McMahon is gonna add some ridiculous stipulation to the match that will have Cena try to "overcome the odds"again.  That or Triple H or Shane will interfere before the match even gets started.

For RAW's last stop before WM22, not a promising show by the looks of things...at all.

If Cena overcomes this show, I won't mind, seeing that WWE loves to have the loser of the PPV match have the last laugh at the preceding TV show.  Hopefully this Raw doesn't end with Cena pointing at the banner again, and HHH just looking at him from outside the ring.

My sentiments exactly.  No mention of RVD, Edge, Foley, or the other MITB participants and almost all of the focus is on Cena vs McMahon (a match straight out of my most heinous nightmares).  I'll watch because Raw is still more entertaining than studying (but boy has that gap narrowed), but I don't expect much and I seriously doubt I'll watch the McMahon-Cena match because there is no outcome I can foresee that I'd like... unless the ring explodes.

I'll watch it.  Probably won't be good, but I'll still watch it since I have nothing better to do.  I pray that for some reason HBK comes out and destroys everyone. I think that is the only thing that could make Cena v Vince anything put a crap fest.

Ohhh yay. The return of the Masterlock challenge. Along with Vince/Cena and the womans division being the featured events on Raw tonight, this show looks promising...

well, mcmahon and cena will ruin this show.

mr.m will probably start off the show(again)with either bragging, warning, or some other piece of bull that we dont really need to hear about...that match is the main event right? sooo..i guess i can stop watching earlier tonight, because we all know shane or hbk(or even hhh) WILL interfere with this match, causing some lame ending..but what else is new with raw lately...

the masterlock challenge will probably be a waste also..because carlito will interfere...and the only way it could get better is if kane is waiting for him, and a brawl starts:D.

im not really too excited for the divas match, but i always enjoy the..for some reason:?

maybe rvd will do something tonight...but i wouldn't get my hopes up..:(

IF that happens, a part of the show might be worth watching...if it was anything like the match last week.

I don't think anyone can deny that Cena was way over with the Nebraska crowd.  That reaction was huge.  Too bad I could not have cared less, WWE has just combined my two least favorite feuds and Mania matches.

At this point, I have literally seen everything Triple H and HBK bring to the table with each other and they didn't pull out anything new tonight, so I was not into that match as much as most, probably.  Still, pretty good TV match and segment, if I had any emotional attachment whatsoever.

Yeah, I got a bad feeling after how that segment turned out and how the announcers were selling it.  Hopefully, my feeling is wrong, because it would be a tragedy for RVD to not walk away with MITB II, IMO.

I gotta admire Shelton's style.

Is it just me, or does Smackdown look like it doesn't have a chance in MITB II?

And man, that might have been the highest Rolling Thunder I've seen out of RVD.

Is that really all the RVD I'm going to get to see tonight?

So, seriously, when was the last time Val Venis won a match on Raw?  Or was even on the winning side of a team?  1998?

And does anyone get a bad feeling the Spirit Squad is more likely to appear at Wrestlemania than either London, Kendrick, the rest of the Cruisers or WWE Tag Camps, MNM?

I don't like it, but I suppose that I understand Londricks being left out of WM, since that's to be expected with WWE. But, the exclusion of MNM confuses the hell outta me. They were main-eventing Smackdowns a month ago, and now they're nowhere to be seen. :|

*Raises hand*

They will probably have somekind of skit where they will do their typical cheer, and than... imagine someone will come down and single-handily take them out... great.

At this point, appears that the only work that some (or all) of those smackdown workers (that you mentioned) will be having is dark and/or heat match. Rather pathetic, considering you have two old men, pair of random bimbos and couple of guys (that happen to have belts) having matches at wrestlemania 22, while the real tag-team champions, MNM, will not be making appearance on the card. :|

The other possibility I foresee is that they will interfere in McMahon-Michaels.  I mean, if McMahon holds any sustained offense going 1 on 1 with Michaels, I'm gonna flip, which will probably lead to injury.  The only time McMahon should be on offense is when he is cheating.

I agree 100% (for the obvious reason).

However, unless I am mistaken, Vince McMahon did face (and beat) Triple H by himself at Armageddon 1999, though it was some what more believable, seeing it was street fight and thus... McMahon could use weapons.

One of the worst endings in a while to a pretty damn bad Raw. God, both of these feuds suck horribly. I definitely wont be ordering WM for either one of those matches.

this is only part of the reason raw is becoming the "b" show..but, dont you think the main event should start BEFORE the show was scheduled to stop?:|

that past..6 weeks? have all had 10min or less main events....atleast, and i might add with a bogus ending(interferences, dq's, or like tonights..which was just...****)

Is anyone else puzzled why they are treating this fued between BigShow and Kane vs. Calito and Chris Masters as more of a comical skit than an actual fued.  Don't get me wrong Carlito and Masters have great comical chemistry, and that peice with Kane waking around the corner (he finally came out of the closet :P) was pretty funny but shouldn't it be an actual fued instead.

i liked it, but yes..they should be making it more of a brawl type fued. i think c+m are taking the belts at wm...:(, and the only way that would happen is if they use a chair of something, so expect a lame match...

Yeah, it been little while since I have heard the WWE audience be that loud and energetic.

However, I was certainly not fan of all of the 'Cena-love' happening last night.

By the way...

*Candice gives a small kiss to Victoria before entering the ring*

Joey Styles: Even I will slobber little bit over that

Anyone else laugh? ...I know I did.
