Did Cole actually get to the laptop in the end? I missed the section from when the E-Mail came in to when he started talking about Cena - what I miss in between?Redders1989
No, Rock dressed down Cole like the good ol' days and told him to sit his monkey ass down.

Which Cole did and proceeded to epically pout.

I have not someone tear the mic up like that in a long time...feels good man. 2 sentences and Cena has more heat than Del Rio, that's how it's done.

Also no more PG? Do want!

At least it wasn't Cole trying to bury the Rock.

That was about as close to perfect as you can get on Earth these days. Everything was just right. He did amazingly too, even after years of not speaking to the MILLIONSSS of his fans.

It was amazing how the crowd INSTANTLY turned on Cena. The Rock completely buried his face persona in less than 3 minutes of speaking about him.

So, we got two pretty good to really good matches in Punk-Cena (seems like forever ago, now) and Byran-Miz. Another solid one in Orton-Sheamus and Angry John Morrison.

... Then, you get the segment none of us are likely to forget for a long time. The best non-wrestling segment...hell, maybe even the best ****ing segment, period, we've seen in, like, forever.

More than enough to make up for some of the crap and make this a great show.

But man, does that make what we've gotten used to look like crap!

Honestly, I like felt like a kid tonight.

My only real "complaint" right now is that as a go-home show that show wasn't great. They have what, 3 matches for this Sunday's PPV?

Not that it matters. The point of pro wrestling is to be entertained, and I was very entertained.

So, if God is nice to us, and we get Cena vs The Rock, where does that leave The Miz at Wrestlemania?

THAT is how it's done. I'll always say that it never does good to compare someone to the greatest of all time in their profession, but my god, The Rock just MOCKED everyone.

Also, some kid (maybe more of them) was booing Rocky. WWE has done quite a good job of making kids like Cena when they boo THE ROCK.

Probably because much like their hero John Cena, they are dorks, and The Rock is anything but that.

Most of those kids only know The Rock from some Disney movie so it's not like they turned on someone they used to love.

Yeah but I grew up loving Hulk Hogan, and that was only from watching VHS tapes of him. Every kid I knew loved Hogan. Not really comparing Hogan and Rock, just saying that you can be born after the glory days of said wrestler and still be a fan. Especially with the internet these days.

- While the USA Network stopped censoring the Rock, The Score in Canada bleeped every mention of "ass" during his promo.

- The Rock has been added to the alumni section of WWE.com.

- Here are more superstars commenting on the return of The Rock

John Cena: "CeNation. Rock was in rare form tonight. It was great to see him enjoying himself out there. Even if it was at my expense. I've been Called alot worse. Just glad to see him back in action."

CM Punk: "Rock owes me fifty bucks for going 20 minutes past the hour, making me miss my valentines day reservations at Nobu."

Big Show: "Did anyone notice the chill bumps on Rocks arms as he gave his catch phrase? The rock is back!"

Val Venis: "I am just as happy as anyone else the Rock is back. As long as he sticks to the mic, we are good. Cuz his wrestling ability is questionable. Not hating on Rock. He is AWESOME on the mic. His charisma is unmatched. But lets be honest, Rock>Hardy & Venis>Rock! HONESTLY!"

JimRoss.jpg picture by ForPhotoStuff

Jim Ross has posted a new blog, here are the highlights...

The WWE hit a home run when they brought back Dwayne Johnson to be the Host of Wrestlemania 27. Who would have been a better choice?

For my money....no one.

Sorry, young Mr. Beiber.

The Rock's Raw closing promo was golden. I smelled money while he was commanding the live audience. My instincts tell me that fans watching at home were just as emotionally invested as were the fans in Anaheim.

Rock created as much magic Monday Night in Anaheim than Walt Disney did on his best day in the same city.

Hopefully, all the talents who were still at the Honda Center locker room area were listening closely to what the Rock said, when he said it, and saw how he was a majestic maestro who had the live audience in the palm of his hand.

One could tell that Rock was enjoying himself. His DNA is 'ring worthy.'

Great promo men over the years had one common denominator. They all could 'feel' the audience.

Rock felt it Monday night.

He once told me that what he always missed most about appearing in WWE was the adrenaline rush that he got from the live audience. Nothing on Earth can replicate that unique feeling for any entertainer/athlete, etc.

Trust me on that one. (Announcers kill for moments like Monday night.)

Some fans are hammering us on Twitter @JRsBBQ proclaiming that it will be Rock vs. Cena at WM27. That's not what I heard. I heard that Rock was Hosting the event which works very well for me. Will there be some sort of Rock/Cena interaction? Sounds that way to me which is why I'm 'staying tuned.'

With Rock as the Host of the biggest WWE event of the year inside the Georgia Dome, fans can expect the unexpected.

WWE and the Rock aren't collaborating at WM27 without the Rock making a significant IMPACT in Atlanta.

How does the man that Hollywood knows as Dwayne Johnson make an impact w/o wrestling in a match?

Very easily. Rock did it tonight and never laid a hand on anyone.

All I know is that business picked up in WWE Monday night and with all that is planned for WM27 I can't wait to attend the event live.

I expect more huge announcements to come at the Elimination Chamber PPV and soon thereafter as in 2/21/11.

So what are they doing with the Rock next? I assume he will be off TV until Mania for the big confrontation with Cena, no?

It would be epic for the Rock to actually wrestle Cena at Mania. The match would be the biggest draw since the attitude era.

Ted Linhart, VP of Program Research at USA Network tweeted the RAW rating for The Rock's return:

"I smell The Rock's ratings. 11pm-11:20pm when he was on RAW hit 5.7M total viewers/ 3.1M P18-49 / 2.9M P25-54 / 1.4M P18-34!"

This week's edition of WWE RAW drew a 3.14 (3.1) cable rating, with 4.8 million viewers. The show did hours of 3.03 (3.0) and 3.25 (3.3).

Last night's episode of Raw did a 3.1 rating with 4,761,000 viewers. The company had heavily promoted the announcement of the WrestleMania 27 host, so this is a disappointment.
