I think the WWE is going about SNME all wrong. They're trying to use it to hype-up they're less than stellar Wrestlemania card and are thus missing out on a great opportunity. This is on network tv, meaning it should get higher ratings than Raw could even hope for. People who have long ago stopped caring about the WWE will likely find themselves watching, along with many more people who never watched. It's an opportunity to get the old fans hooked again and the others wanting more. But with the card they are offering right now, I just don't think the WWE is fully capitalizing on the chance they've been given.wallymartinYeah, what they should have done was hold off until SNME and have Taker vs Angle rematch, and have Orton and Mysterio vs Cena and Triple H. It makes more sense to me that way IMHO. (unless The_Dude or sephy37 makes a judgement on my statement for the millionth time and changes my mind :P)

I agree with that, they do have Stone Cold to appear, but they should've made sure they could get guys like Hogan and Piper to draw some of their old fans back in.
Only 4 matches? I thought this was supposed to be like a PPV?

My guess is that the street fight and the 3 on 2 matches will probably take up 1 of the 2 hours they have for the show. It does still seam like they would have another 1, or 2, though.  I also feel that this Austin v. JBL thing will take a while, with a brawl, and lead into a WM match. I wonder what all the dark matches will be, this thing actually was advertised to start at 6:30.
Just a couple of hours left till WWE's SNME. So this will be interesting. We've got both TNA iMPACT and WWE's SNME on at the same time. Who'll be watching what then?

Spoiler for WWE Saturday Night's Main EventThats really unusual. Oh well, I guess Vince wants Shane vs HBK to be the main event. I cant help but notice that something bad is gonna happen with that

I do share your concern for Shane-HBK, now that it is all but confirmed to be the main event.
Though, from another perspective, I think it still speaks volumes that all 5 men involved in the two marquee title matches are taking a backseat to HBK-McMahon.
And so it starts...
I love the opening! JBL's "I am not Earl" :P Then Boogeyman randomly pops up!
No Coach? YES!
I like the set. That screen is huge!
JR IS BACK, and WWE better keep him back. I am glad that Coach isnt hear tonight. I dont think this will hapen every Sat. It must of taken FORVER to put up the HUGE set. Plus House Shows and stuff. That is why they might not have so many matches. Their is a house show going on at the same time and the other superstars are at the house show.
Edit:There is no more shows tonight. Looks like no more House Shows on Sat Night.
Will the smoke ever clear?
And did anyone else think JR calling Kurt Angle "well oiled" was a little wierd? He said it kind of funny. And I don't mean haha funny. :|
Cena sucks chants :D Well it doesnt surprise me since it is Detroit. Oh well, its great to hear JR again in the announce booth
Man, you never realize just how good JR is until he's been gone for a while. I'm a fan of Joey Styles, but JR is far and away the best and its great to here his voice again. Also, I like this three man set-up (BTW King got a chuckle out of me for the first time in a while with his joke on Mysterio's height). Good match, so far.
Aestetically, I like the setup and the look of the ring with the white ropes and the red posts. Its a change of pace and I like it.
Also, you gotta love the loud and clear "Cena Sucks" chant that went up.
I just had a thought: Putting HBK on the Raw side of this tag match could have made things really interesting. It would have made sense, too. But HBK does face Shane later, so it's okay.
A surprisingly good match. You knew everything was going to break down at the end, but I think they did a great job of implementing it, even though Cena got the pin.
