The only way I would have been fine with Punk winning is if he came out after Daniel Bryan won and they had a WM XX moment with confetti...only for Punk to turn on him.

The screwy post-match title switch aside...can we all just take a moment to rejoice in the fact that someone has defeated John Cena 100% clean? Honestly, when's the last time that happened?
They did that perfectly! Had me going there with the pyro and everything, but then I knew there had to be a reason HHH was out there. He had no part in the match itself - which I am really thankful for, so what comes next? A Pedigree! Regardless, that match was f*cking SICK!!!Â
I assume you mean Cena-Punk from MitB? Or, do you mean their SummerSlam rematch in light of the event. OR, the one from raw a few months ago? xD Damn, that's a hard one though. You know you have something when the crowd isn't completely focused on Cena. I think we got a lot more diversity with Cena-Bryan, but the tension wasn't as high as Cena-Punk - could be wrong though. I will leave this to be decided after a second viewing of this match. Â

You knew it was coming...and all you can do is watch it happen. Reminds me of Grave of the Fireflies (minus the tears and palpable sorrow). Â
The last time this happened, we had a 2/3 Falls match with Sheamus. Obviously, that type of match isn't going to be a part of things moving forward here, but I expected big things between Orton and Bryan (much like Orton and Christian, I hope). Speaking of which, Orton is such a buzzkill with title reigns, isn't he? xDÂ
I wrote that off as "they had to be limited and careful due to the fire". I knew that match was going to be boring. I'm willing to give Wyatt a couple more chances when he can wrestle in a regular match.Â
Now that was a Summerslam. Three great matches and WWE has set the stage for a story that should carry them to WrestleMania, at least, if not beyond with setting up what looks to be the McMahon-Helmsley Reality with Orton as their corporate champion, and a solid group of heels that could back them up (Barrett most certainly looks like he should be a heavy for the Reality, maybe the Shield (who could go either way effectively)). You've got three big time anti-establishment faces to play with in Bryan, Cena and Punk whenever he wants to get in this mix, plus three strong placeholders that can be fed to Orton who have proven to work well with him in RVD, Christian and Ziggler. Man that was a thing of beauty. MOTN: I'm giving it to Lesnar-Punk. Bryan-Cena was exactly what I expected and more, but I think there was an intensity to Lesnar-Punk that Bryan-Cena only approached at moments. Unless I'm completely forgetting something, this is PPV of the year so far, easy, and if it gets challenged, we've got some good things coming.
You might be onto something with regards to The Shield. The Raw that I'm attending on Sept. 9th has had advertising of Punk/Bryan/Cena vs. The Shield as the main event. Barrett is definitely a smart choice as wel, albeit contrary to past history with Orton - this is the WWE though.Â
