So what would Orton be doing then?TonyStewart_90If Randy Orton is not in the title match, than I am guessing Mark Henry or MVP.
What about Orton Vs. Cena?????? :|Link256SummerSlam 2007 says hello.
And Unforgiven 2007. And No Way Out 2008. And WrestleMania 24 (alongside HHH). And Backlash 2008 (with HHH and JBL). And now Night of Champions 2009 (alongside HHH again).
And what is it with triple nose always having to be in a main event title match. It's been proven that he's not a draw. But I guess those are the luxuries or sleeping with the bosses daughter.TonyStewart_90Actually, he is. Also, he was in Main Events before Stephannie. I have a feeling I said this to you before.
Actually, he is. Also, he was in Main Events before Stephannie. I have a feeling I said this to you before. Dark_Hylian8I'm aware of how long he has been in main events but my point is he's not a draw. It's been proven when he's champ less people tune in. He has all the talent and deserves to be a main eventer but without politics he would be a 3-5 time world champ and not a 13 time champ.

Like him or not, Triple H is one of the biggest names in Wrestling and that should be evidence enough that this guy sells PPV's.Dark_Hylian8He only sells PPVs depending on who he is facing, and even then, it's a good combination of his opponent's drawing power (i.e. Cena, HBK, Goldberg . Scott Steiner , Kevin Nash  )

Besides, my main point was not necessarily that Orton-Cena already been done. My point is that Orton-Cena has already been done at Summerslam.
I know it could be kind of a stretch here, but what if
HBK returns to face Orton, and Triple H faces Cena?
Dark_Hylian8The 3rd opinion in the HHH-Cena-Orton matches. The worst seening as how Orton isn't in the match.

A 13 time champ against the man that has year long title runs. Exactly why should anyone care about seeing those 2 EVER get the belt again?
You know, seems to me that the banner above has just enough room for a certain arrangement of the letter "H" in it.
If Triple H isn't in this match I will be very suprised and will have absolutely no idea what he will be doing. As long as Orton/Triple H have been in this feud, I find it very hard to believe John Cena taking over is the end of it. It's like it just...stopped, with Orton on top...kinda.
If he isn;t in the main event, I have a feeling it may be Legacy vs DX, but while Legacy is currently feuding with JeriShow, (I take ALL credit for it, people.) I wouldn't be suprised if we saw DX vs Legacy vs JeriShow at Summerslam for the straps.
Also, with the hat and shirt, give Cena a mustache and he is Jeff Foxworthy.

Trips made a long promo last night saying he's had his priorities wrong. And before he goes after Orton he has to take care of Legacy once and for all. Which leads me to believe DX (with a returning HBK) vs Legacy at Summerslam.
If you go to the Summerslam PPV site, Shawn Michaels is the second guy that they show. You can check that out here. Shawn has also been advertised on the poster for a while now, which adds to the idea that DX is reforming at the event to battle Legacy.

So what do I win for predicting it spot-on if I'm right? :D

So a possibly DX reunion for the 5-8th time.
P.S. Does the SummerSlam background look childish too you?

Childish? No. Something from the 1960's? Yes.
Maybe it's the simplicity of it that makes it a decent poster. It almost looks likt a poster for the very first Summerslam, but if I were in charge of the WWE, I would have more posters with graphics in them.

I think I found it funny how the match of John Cena and Randy Orton was shown, like they are made of Cardboard, how they Popped up like that. :P
But to be serious, I hope there is something fun for Micheals to do this year.
I agree with most everyone else, that it will be DX vs. Priceless.
But to be serious, I hope there is something fun for Micheals to do this year.Link256
Now, whether or not you consider the idea of DX vs. Priceless to be "fun," is a different story.
Well I remember for some reason that HBK hasn't had too many Fun matches for the PPV Summerslam, for some reason I 'm thinkng he faced Vince McMahon, but that was at Wrestlemania, then Summerslam.
So I think DX Vs. Legacywould be good. I think.
For starters, SummerSlam 2002 and SummerSlam 2005 say hello.
Well I remember for some reason that HBK hasn't had too many Fun matches for the PPV SummerslamLink256
Well yes and no, I think what you thought I ment a Fun Match meaning a well worked match, I ment something alot more different, but I don't know, I think this is silly, to think about right now.
BUT, I did like those two matches, with HBK VS. HHH, and HBK Vs. Hogan. :)
Eh, i've got the DVD but worth buying it for Orton vs Taker and Cena vs Y2J. Plus HBK over-selling was humorous.Still, I say HBK-Hogan. I mean, have you seen that match? Michaels flopping around like a fish. :P

Yeah I seen it I really liked the match, and yes that was funny about Michaels Flopping like a fish.
- WWE is positioning this year's Summerslam as an important event, closer to a WrestleMania level event, so that cities will want to bid on the event like they do WrestleMania. That is also why they are holding an AXXESS event that weekend.
- WWE will also be trying to tap into the Hollywood community by hosting parties and events through their Hollywood agency, WME. That company will work with MyNetworkTV and NBC/Universal and try to bring in potential new partners and sponsors. WME's entire agency is working on the project.
- WWE talents were notified that there will be no complimentary tickets for this year's Summerslam; the event is expected to sell out at any time.

Is this the best that the E can do for Jericho? Stuck in a meaningless Tag Title feud. He should be in a World Title feud or at least have one more match with MysterioTurk130
In all fairness, it seems as if the 'E are giving Cryme Tyme a push, and if there's anyone who can help those two get even more over with the crowd it'd be Jericho.

I understand what you're saying, but for me personally having Jericho at this level on arguably the second biggest PPV of the year seems like a waste
Honestly, I'm not excessively keen on a TLC for Punk/Hardy. I don't like putting Punk in ladder matches, even though the guy can get it done and has been remarkably durable. This is a guy who doesn't take painkillers.
Also, since I'm not a fan of wholesale slaughter, DX: the Midlife Crisis and I like Rhodes and Dibiase, I'm not on board for DX vs Legacy.
This isn't going to happen, but here's what I'd like to see:
Might as well go ahead and go with what is likely to happen next week. Michaels returns to help Trips with Legacy... as if he'll need it and it looks like it will be DX vs Legacy.
Smackdown: Punk vs Hardy happens. CM Punk wins by DQ when Hardy airmails a Whisper in the Wind and clocks the ref instead of Punk. Punk goes ballistic on Hardy, leaves him laying and demands a match at Summerslam to close the show.
Raw: HBK and Trips come out, do some of their tired shenanigans (possibly come out to imitate Rhodes and Dibiase... but they've got no personality so they imitate their fathers, instead) to set up their match at Summerslam. Only the Guest GM interrupts. This Guest GM wanted to leave a mark on Raw, unlike the others, so he proposed a trade that will shake the foundations of the WWE. HBK has been traded to Smackdown for someone to be named later (Undertaker, if you're curious, since I don't think he'll be ready 'til Unforgiven, leave that announcement for later). Trips will have to find a new partner to face Legacy at Mania.
Smackdown: Advertised is a contract signing for Punk-Hardy at Summerslam. However, everyone is wondering how HBK's trade to Smackdown will impact the show, but HBK is nowhere to be seen. It comes to the Contact signing. Before Punk signs, HBK comes out Superkicks Punk and signs the Contract to face Hardy at Summerslam to close the show (Think the HHH-Benoit contract signing before XX).
The next week, Punk is ballistic. Teddy Long tells him the contract is binding for a one on one match at Summerslam and he can't alter that. Punk calls Teddy the worst GM in history for letting this happen. Teddy says he'll try to find some way to make this right by Punk, but he has signed Punk to a tag match tonight... teaming with Michaels against Hardy and Morrison. In that match, Morrison pins Punk.
The next week (how many weeks do I need to write?), Teddy says he was going to name Punk #1 Contender and give the first shot after Summerslam, but since Morrison pinned him, that makes the situation murky. To be fair, it'll be Punk vs Morrison at Summerslam for #1 Contendership.
So, you get the Hardy/Michaels "Dream Match." Honestly, how has that not happened (I believe they had a little mini-program in early 03, when I believe WWE was trying to motivate Hardy, and was a part of the larger HBK-Jericho feud)? I think its a fitting Farewell (for now) match for Hardy, who I hope would be more motivated facing Michaels, who would probably make it work anyways. You get Morrison vs Punk, which is always fun. Add a Mysterio match, Smackdown owns another PPV
Also, since my plans would be for HBK to win the belt here, it would give Michaels a richly deserved title (Has he really not won one since his cup of coffee with the belt in late 02?). CM Punk would win the belt off Michaels at Unforgiven or whatever the hell they're going to call it, which should cement Punk as a "Made Man," if he's not already. I'd also have Punk write off Hardy either Post-Summerslam, if WWE can't get him in for one more Smackdown, or on Smackdown.
My plan for that would be Punk beats Morrison at Summerslam. On the next Smackdown, Hardy comes out to issue his rematch claim, but Punk interrupts. Punk either assaults Hardy, or challenges him to a "loser leaves town" match, because he will not let Hardy ruin anything else for him, or something.
Longterm, you've got a suitable top face in Michaels, while you build more. You lose Taker, in my plan, but IMO he suits Raw better. Plus, Taker-Cena and Taker-Trips have legs. Michaels can work with Morrison, Punk, Mysterio, maybe cross paths with jericho.
Meanwhile, what to do with H-Legacy? Well, without HBK, Trips is left partner searching, which I'd have some fun with. I'd have HBK undeterred and let him continue to promise a DX Reunion at Summerslam. So, at Summerslam, Trips brings back X-Pac. I'm not sure what Sean Waltman's up to, if he's in any condition to wrestle, if he's on any kind of terms with Trips and the E, but you've got to think they can make it work, at least for one night. So, X-Pac returns and DX loses to Legacy with X-Pac taking the pin. Two options: After the loss, Trips turns on X-Pac and Pedigrees him.
Or: on Raw, Orton Punts him. I like this one, because I'd have it be a running gag. Trips brings in a partner only for Orton to Punt them out, even occasionally like Groundkeeper Willy in the Simpsons Halloween The Shining parody where right when Triple H announces them, Legacy pounces and punts before he even makes it to the ring. It'd be a chance to run some nostalgia angles and have some fun. It lets Legacy, hopefully, save some face and rack up some wins against Trips (after a fashion). A little ways on down, Trips finds the right partner, hopefully a younger guy Trips can give a rub to.
Other partner possibilities, Flair (lame, but should be easy), Hall (who knows? It would certainly get a mark out).
The_Dude, Sean Waltman tried committing suicide.sephy37Oh, so that's what he's been up to. He has a sex-tape with Chyna. It fits.
Just an idea.
The currently advertised matches (Randy Orton vs. John Cena, Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. Cryme Tyme) will remain as they are, but many of the planned programs heading into SummerSlam are said to be getting a face-lift.'
