Can anyone help me, when i open my xbox (origonal) disc tray and put a game in it then close it, it loas for a while then it opens up by itself cann anyone tell me whats wwrong with it or help me?

Sounds like a disc drive problem you might need to get a new one,but i could be wrong I have never heard of this happening to anyone before.

I had the same problem with mine. The siding door was off track is what they told me. After they had put it back on track it worked fine. It cost as much to fix as it does to get a new one so your better off with the new.

and your correction of his grammer helped the TC how? anyway is the light on the xbox red? if so i beleive it is unfixable it happend to my freinds.

Sounds like your drive may have finally kicked the can. I was having random disk read errors on my original Xboxfor awhile and finally got fed up with it. I bought a new drive on Ebay for $50 and swapped them myself. Has worked perfectly ever since. The new drive is a 16x speed and the original was an 8x speed. From what I read the new drive actually does load a bit faster, but I haven't really noticed.
