If you change it to elite difficulty will the enemy land transports in your hanger? Because I play on normal and they never do.

well they will but cpu isn't smart enough 2 get by ur turrets

They have never landed in my hangar either. Even if my turrets are offline, they just fly their ship around the opening of my hanger, and then crash into my capital ship. (on elite difficulty)
