2 flashing red lights?

I googled around and it states that the xbox 360 is overheating. The thing is...it doesn't make sense. When I play NBA 2k9 the xbox tends to freeze all the time, but when I play gears of war 2 it never freezes. Could it be that the disc for NBA 2k9 is messed up and causing my system to flash two red lights? Answers would be very helpful thanks!

I think it has something to do with how the game was made.. atreyu27

yess!! that happens to me. it pisses me off and i loved 2k9. lol i guess im going with NBA live for now on

I'm not sure if this will help or not, but try installing the game to the HD. See if that fixes your problem with nba 2k9

Is it the top two lights that are flashing red or the two left ones. My xbox 360 will go black screened randomly and start flashing the top two red lights, while I am playing ANY game. But it is not overheating. Must be some kind of error because it happens when the game starts to read a new sector of the disk. Any suggestions?

The two flashing lights is part of the red ring of death. You got the one that is cause from overheating yeah, and once you get it, it overheats even faster, so put a fan behind your xbox and it should be fine. Just hope you don't get 1 red ring. Thats when theres a system failure and your xbox wont start up. When you start it up, it goes to a black screen that says system error 73 and you cant do anything. 3 isn't bad even though thats the full red ring, you can still play games. I figured out how but you have to beat the crap out of your xbox so just hope you dont get either.
