In the poll, why is there no option to vote: "I already have one"? I already have one.

If anybody that has the money to buy one and is trying to decide......just buy it. It is worth it for the simple reason of the noise that it makes....almost none.

I'm happy with my 120 Gig Jasper.

I have a reburbished Elite that's out of warranty and when i turn it on it's like turning on an engine or something, and I do notice the fan is loud at times. So I will be pre-ordering one tomorrow and trade it in the first week of July when the new shipment of 360 S comes in. I was so close in getting it this past weekend, but the guy told me the one he was going to give me was a returned system. I wanted it new, unused, and unopened.

I'm happy with my 120 Gig Jasper.

Same here. I've had mine for six months, though, so I haven't 'broken it in' yet, haha. I hope it holds up. I bet I would cry the first time I saw it RRoD.

Question for 360 S owners, is your console horizontal or vertical and is it on top somewhere on your TV stand or inside the stand shelf?

Definately considering buying one......only thing that is stopping me is the news that when the console gets too hot, intead of getting the RRoD, it turns off to protect itself....

What happens if you are saving the game (or the game is auto saving) and it turns off....

Game data gets corrupted, I get angry, and regret spending £200 on the new console.....hmmm....

Got mine on Friday (the day it arrived in stores), and it has not frozen once on me, air is never blistering hot from the fan (quite warm though which is normal) and the console (even with disc in it) is 10x quieter than my old box.

I actually got a question, im planning on picking one of these up tomorrow and doin the deal, plus taking back some games..but uhh has any1 had any problems getting it? I am quite curious to see if my local gamestop even has anymore left? so if any1 could give me an idea i know no1 really knows for sure but still anything would be cool

For some reason the guy offered me $263 for the stuff I brought. Here I'll list them.

$100 = refurbished console

$40 = 120gb HDD

$40 = wireless adapter

$25 = wireless controller

$10 = 64mb memory unit

$215 should have been the total.

I also offered my wired headset, I don't know what the pricing was but I'm pretty sure it wasn't $48 dollars, since the total they gave me was $263. So I'm guessing they added that additional $25.

Check your receipt, it should tell you how much they gave you for each item. They guy at Gamestop had to input the promo codes directly and somehow gave me an extra $50 for the console.

Curiously, why didn't Microsoft build wi-fi into the 360 in the first place instead of gouging us for 99.99 for the Wireless Adapter? Wi-fi for the 360, Wii Motion Plus for the Wii...why don't companies build these things in in the first place?

The new Slim is Kinect ready...otherwise, Kinect will need a power brick if you have a regular 360. How much will that be, another 50 bucks on top of 150 for Kinect?

They only had one and will receive the next shipments around July 9. I did however went to a different GS store and pre-ordered earlier today. I had a $40 store credit and I sold my 64mb memory unit to them for $10, so I can put down $50 for the pre-order. The dude said my memory unit was only $2 bucks at first, but I told him about the trade in deal and he fixed it.

If that store don't give me a similar price first I had for all my stuff, I think I'm going to cancel my pre-order there and go back to the first store. Hopefully it's the same guy and it will ring up the same. Just less than 3 weeks to go and I'll get my new 360 S. :cry::D

I got so lucky, i had a Wii but didn't like that a good game only came every 4 months or so, plus achievements. so i traded in tons of my Wii stuff and my Dsi i got the 2nd to last 360 slim and the people behind me were getting one too. the day it came out. im very happy with it

Picked mine up on day one too! Loving it. So much quieter. Very sleeek. I ended up selling my other xbox on ebay for a good price. Ended up only paying about $130 for this new one.

Hey. I'm planning on purchasing the new slim model xbox 360 and I have a question...I heard that the there are some over heating issues that are still going on with the xbox...Actually that's how my old xbox broke...I was wondering if this would help (http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-ZM-NC2000Black-Notebook-Cooler-Black/dp/B0012WXFO8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1277243303&sr=8-1) I have it for my 18.4" laptop that used to over heat alot. Ever since I got the cooler, it doesn't over heat or give me any more trouble...I was wondering if anybody tried this product for their xbox? Will it work? It didn't install any drivers for the computer so I would assume the xbox would have no problem running this...Let me know :)

Unfortunately I just picked up a 250 gig Elite in March. If I had of known this unit was coming out I would have waited. I love the new look and it sure would be nice to have a unit that is alot quieter with better ventilation. Not to mention the WiFi is a nice addition because I could move my system around the house and not require long ethernet cables. I want to trade in my current unit but EB games isn't offering a very good deal on the trade. I might get $100 dollars if I am lucky and I think that is pretty low considering a new 250 Elite is going for $399. Lets hope I can find a way to get the newer version, but I will gladly hold onto the system I have if I am just going to get ripped off on a trade.

I was unlucky... I bought a new xbox (to replace my modded xbox that had RROD) literatly 5 days before the announcement of the new xbox... it was disapointing... but it looks awesome

I currently own the slim and am loving the built in Wi-fi and 250 gb HDD. Was able to install all my games and still have near 200gb space :). The uinveiling of it couldnt have come at a batter time. My current Arcade model crapped out on me and it was out of warranty (:[) and i didnt feel like waiting 2-3 weeks(and payign a $100 dollars)to play my brand new copies of Red dead Redemption and Alan Wake, so I took the plunge.

im still on the fence, dont know if its worth it. got a 60 gig 360, mine is quiet since i install games. dont know if its worth it for just the look basically.
