360 250GB Slim Thread

I'm curious whether the built-in wifi adapter is compatible with wireless-n routers. I would assume that it is, but I haven't seen any specification that would indicate that. Anyone have some insight?

I got my slim at Gamestop for around $169

$50 trade in for 2 controllers

$100 trade in for Xbox

$1 trade in for cooling fan

$30 trade in for 20gb hard drive.

They make you buy the new 360 first, in California with taxes comes out to about $338. I had to buy a charger for $12 plus tax because I didn't have my charger for my wireless controllers. The guy behind me was going to buy the xbox if i didn't so i just forked over the extra money.

338+12-50-100-1-30 = $169

It was about two dollars cheaper though because I'm not using exact change on everything.

I bought it for the kinetic port, but after E3 it looks TERRIBLE so i don't like having the thing. NO PORTABLE HARDRIVE NOOOOOOOO.

This pisses me off. I just bought the stupid FFXI xbox 360 with the 250 GB harddrive like 3 months ago, then this crap comes out for the same price...dminorfmajor

I would like to have the slim xbox 360 because i like the look and the added features of the wi fi with the bigger hard drive space. If i was rich with deep pockets then i would buy one in a second, unfortunately i am not and i am on my 3rd xbox 360. I already have a 250GB elite, so I won't buy a slim yet anyway. Although I'd really like one for the built-in wireless and less noise.

Gonna trade in my ELITE for one, it still works great but want to get rid of some noise and the new one looks cool. Bonus is the built in WIFI. Where is the best place to trade one in? Gamestop?SKATAMAN

If you don't need to do a trade-in and wanna find the new 360, try your local Costco. Most have received their shipments and I picked one up earlier this week! Bonus since its a few dollars cheaper too! :)jazzyrider

Man, I'm going to see If I can get a good trade deal. My question is: do games still get scratched when it's standing vertically? I know they can get scratched when you change your 360s position while it's on. A friend of mine told me that if the 360 is standing vertically it can get scratched, but I don't know if that's true.

if you move it while its spinning a disk you will definantly scratch it. if you don't move it, it won't scratch. that simple

Does the slim have a component port? I know it doesnt come with component cables but does it have the port for it? My tv doesnt have hdmi and my old 360 just rrod so i still ahve the component cables.
