360 controller lights

I had a recent problem with the controller. When i turn on my 360 with my controller with the controller (wireless) the one player light comes on on the controller but the two player light comes on on the console. When i added a second conroller (also wireless) this said that it was two player on the controller but third player on the console. I tried turning off the controllers and the console but it still kept happening. It was as if the console light had been turned 90 degrees. I left it for a while but then i tapped the front several times and it went back to normal. wtf?!

I just want to know if this has happened to anyone else and if anyone knows why this happens.

im not exactly sure but try resyncing the controllers a few times.

My first 360 did that very annoy. I thing it has something to do with the gyro that is in the 360 that knows if it is vertical or horizontal. So when it does do that it thinks it is on the wrong side.
