I have a Xbox 360 controller that is a month old, and it will not turn on(like no light comes up or anything). I tried a AA pack, but nothing happened. Then I tried a charged battery pack, but it still didn't turn on. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to fix this problem?
I have had a previous Xbox 360 that "went red". That seems to be pretty common & if you Google it, you'll see lots of cases with some ideas on how to fix it. I, instead, just chose to buy another Xbox 360. Now suddenly the controller doesn't turn on. I did a search & found that this too is quite common. One suggestion was to try another battery pack. Well, I did that & it did work...for a couple seconds. I had an original Xbox that kept freezing up during game playing. The new Xbox 360 supposedly fixed that, but as we all know, it still freezes during gaming. So, you know what the BEST solution for me for the controller not turning on now was? THROUGH THE M%)*& F(%^# AWAY!!! & GET A PLAY STATION 3!!! Why do you think Xbox 360 dropped from $400 when it first came out to $200. It's because they suck & people are breaking away from the 360's.
I have an older wireless controller that gives me problems sometimes when I change batteries. I use rechargeable batteries, so for a while I just thought that my batteries were dying out, but recently I found out that its my controller. What i do is I put pressure on the back side (where the battery pack is) and by doing so, my controller eventually kicks in. Besides that I don't know what else to say.
