If they didn't do it this way, they wouldn't be around for long.Would you honestly buy something for $200 more if you could get the same things on your console? Yeah it kind of sucks because there are exclusive things for many systems, but think about the people that make these things. Lucky for me, I'm only missing the Wii now.
Yea, real "stupid" because you don't want to buy 2 consoles. If MS owns a company that makes a good game, why would they let it go on the competitors console? Same thing with PS3. There's been exclusives since the beginning of time and it makes you choose which you'd rather have,
It isn't stupid at all. A lot of effort are put into exclusive titles as developers use these to sell consoles. Modern Warfare, Assassin's Creed or Borderlands doesn't sell consoles. Gears of War (pc now), Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid, Halo and other exclusives sells consoles.
Then there would end up only being one console and the prices of both games and the system would skyrocket. Then, PC gaming would rise to dominate again.
