it depends on what games. i play cod4, halo3, gta4, etc. it still looks great.
sometimes though texts and numbers are hard to see and are fuzzy especially of dead rising and the score ticker on most sports games

I'm not sure about GTA4, but Cod4 and Halo3 doesn't even run at 720p. I think halo is 500 something and cod is like 600.
It will look better than a previous generation console, but you won't be getting the full benefit that HDTV users get.
Some games, mainly early 360 titles, have issues when played in SD. Dead Rising has a lot of text, and that can be very hard to read, but really comes down to the TV you use.
ur still getting the same experience on sd tv. the only thing is that some text u can't read or have to go up to the screen. i recently bought a 32" lcd because of it. i was tired of playing games can't read anything.
from comparing the graphics on a stanrd r a little fuzzy.
Who Cares? Gaming is about immersion. Not how solid the pixel count displays itself on high def. This reminds me of people who are worried about their own particular home entertainment system. Even if you have the best picture in the land to watch the special cable channels that offer it.
YOU are STILL watching essentially POOP!...that's not to say that I myself do not own HDTV. I play on both standard and high def(multiple consoles) its just that when I'm playing a game graphics do enhance the experience but what TV you play it on does not...only the mind set of having to play it on a HDTV set makes people not enjoy the overall experience and that's rather shallow.
Not that your shallow for asking...just a generalized rant.
Does the Xbox 360 still look good even on SDTV's?LZ71
Yeah, I have a newer sdtv and all the games look awesome. I'll be getting hd in two mounths.
