360, is it the best console out?

I love how you ask this on the 360 forums.

Its a matter of opinion. I have a 360 and a Wii... the best console out? Quite frankly its a tie between the 360 and Wii. Ps3 doesent even factor.

For me a console is as good as the games it hasmiiiguel

as a owner of all 3...i would say ...right now would be a perfect chance to purchase a ps3 ....cause warhawk is coming out 2marro, heavenly sword is gonna come out in a couple weeks, lairs gonna come out soon before/ after heavenly sword im not sure...and then all the exclusives like MGS, killzone, Ratchet and clank, tekken 6, GT5, FFXIII, White Knight, Folklore, God of War 3, Socom 4, Syphon filter, etc...not including the timed exclusives on UT3 and Haze..yep eccespially with home coming soon ..its gonna be all good

as for xbox 360.. if the games i mentioned weren't for u .. simply buy a 360 its a great system as well with bioshock, halo 3, mass effect, gears of war, dead rising, crackdown, lost planet, etc

How often and how likely is it that when you buy a 360 that you get the red rings of death. Im trying to decide between the 360 and a ps3. i know that the 360 has a lot of good games but i dont want to deal with an unreliable system.allegrettom

umm it just happens what can i say...it happend to me 3 times...for me it was a bad experience...it took a month to do the whole shipping process...and like 1 week to fix it...i guess they where already busy....

All I can say is, if you have the money aside (but you'd probably want to put it towards a game), get a warranty when you purchase your 360 so you don't have to go through the long waiting process if by the off chance yours does die. If I had known beforehand about how reliable it was going to be, I'd have forgone on a game and gotten a warranty or just waited instead of buying it at the time I did.

I bought a warranty for my PS3 but in that regard, it was to be on the safe side and not have a repeat of the troubles the 360 gave me. Now, I'm 360-less and waiting till the problem is actually solved until I pick up another (and no, extending the warranty isn't solving the problem for me) and even then, it's dependent on exclusives.

Now is the absolute worst time to buy a PS3, game after game are dissapointing... u are mentioning warhawk, lair, heavely sword... that`s proof right there, all on a steady course to flopville. Scores 8 and lower, not a reason to buy a system.

Right now 9/10 multiplats better on 360.

I would say right now is not the time to buy a PS3. I think in November or December would be a good time. That way some really good titles will be out on the market. I'm not a real PS fan not in many years but I do recognize that That would be a good time with the current line up. I didn't like the heavenly sword demo. It looked good but played stiff. Lair reminds me of Panzer Dragoon Orta. It didn't look too bad but to me that would be all I was looking forward too. MGS is a good reason but you have a ways to go. I honestly am not sure if it is releasing this year or not at this point???

On the other hand I love my 360 and I have never had an hardware issue. I Friend got his 6 months after me and did have an issue. I know I leave mine in a place where it is always cool. There is a new version coming out that will have less hardware issues than The current ones. I am surprised that so many people are having issues especially after Day one. My other friend had a PS3 and it was a dud. He isthe greatest PS3 Fan boy alive by the way and would never admit anything good about 360. I know I have a 3 year warranty so I have no issues with the system. but I do plan on buying an Elite just for game development. I love my 360 I can't wait till tomorrow to pick up Blue Dragon. Finally a JRPG I don;t care what it is rates I just want variety of games. Right now that is 360 Hight point that and great on-line support. Live is approximately $4.17 a month forGreat online play functionality.

I still prefer 360 over PS3. I enjoy games and that is why I purchased my game system. Give me games I truly want and I will reconsider. I still think Killzone was the worst FPS since Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold. I finished the game out of pure determination to complete a game that week. Yuk!!! That Game is garbage and screw everyone who thinks over wize I'm only passionate over things i am serious about and I didn't like it before and After I finished the game. I think I must have had invincibility on because I never died and I was playing it on Hard. once again Yuk. The game was not worth a sequel. This is a reason not to buy a PS3, well at least my reason. That game is F'ing clown shoes and is an insult to great FPS's.

I couldn't recommend a Wii because I am a gamer and i donut have my nephews and neices over that much. Sorry it just doesn't yell this is for gamers to me. Most people buying it aren't real gamers. But I must admit that that is an intelligent market to aim towards I mean Hey look at the sales numbers alone.

I have not had my 360 break or get the red ring. I've had it for 2 1/2 years. Yes it is the best because of the games. 2008 might change that because of MGS4 but we'll see.
