Okay, tommorow is the day I finally will purchase a Xbox 360 and my Wii becomes Wii360. Anyways, that wasn't the reason I came here. I wanted to ask a few questions about the Xbox 360?

First off, I heard a great deal of talk about systems breaking down and having to be replaced a great deal.. Is that really trust, or is the so called sitution greater than what it is, and mainly presented on the fact that only who having the problems posting and being counted as the major stats. That was one that the worried me is having to buy a system and it clunking out so much and having to constantly get a new one or send it in, whatever..

Second, aside from that, what would be a good starter package game. I know there are a ton of great games out there and just not sure what would be system seller, or should I said time consumer. I hear Gears of Wars [even tho I think its a great game by thread viewing, eventhou thought it was overrrated but not in the way its not a great game. Would that be one to buy my first 360 game, I won't have Xbox Live right away [unless I do pressed down a 50 sooner or later.. But I will eventually.] Would that be the first game getter? I also was interested in the following games; Dead Rising, Viva Pinata, maybe TC's Rainbow 6: Vegas [not sure yet on that one], Lost Planet [I enjoyed the demo and wanting to get this game].. I would said Oblivion, but I dunno, I have it on PC, just unable to play it at the moment, but I probably get a update my PC sooner or later.. so it might be foolish to get it on both.. Any suggestions?

Third, how likely will MGS4 get ported onto the 360?

1.) The overheating and such is mostly gone now... VERY few problems, so don't worry. 2.) Although this sounds like a cop-out, every game you mention is worth having... but Gears and Oblivion stand out the most. 3.) Flip a coint at this point... but IMO I'd say very likely.

I've heard of many consoles bricking and biting it; However, in perspective to the larger number of owners out there it seems abysimal to say the least. It should hold up well, and I say this since I have had mine since launch just take care of it like any other product you own.

Games now in the that respect I looked at what you were interested in, and I'd say TC: Rainbow Six Vegas would be a great choice. Dead Rising get repetitive. Viva Pinata is a solid surprisingly good game. Gears immersive multiplayer somewhat lackluster first player. Oblivion I wouldnt buy it for the console when you own it on PC. If your into simulation games I would say check out Table Tennis by Rockstar it's well put together and $25. I would also have to say if you are into tactial shooters check out GRAW it has dropped significantly in price I heard $20. Those are a few choices in my mind.

I too am a Wii360 owner, and as for your first question most of the 360's that were breaking were the consoles that first came out. You still hear of people saying their 360 broke or w/e but I've never had any problem with mine. Just keep it in a well ventilated area and you'll be fine. Besides, the 360 comes with a One year replacement warrenty now if you're that worried about it. Second, you say you're interested in Lost Planet. I have both Gears and Lost Planet and I like them both, but I'd say LP's multiplayer is more enjoyable. Also, the xbox 360 comes with a one month gold suscription so you can try the games out on live. If you're not sure, just rent first.

My 360 locks up occassionaly, typically when playing online games so I'm not sure if it's the fault of the 360 or the game itself. The only other problem I have encountered is that I experienced problems with both of my controllers. The Y button on the first controller is sticking, and then on the 2nd controller it just randomly loses it's connection to the XBox 360 (it's not battery related). So.. I'm obvously less than thrilled about the controllers. I have a plan to purchase one new one, return one of the broken ones, and get my 2nd new one. hehe... maybe not exactly ethical, but I have only owned these controllers for about 8 months and I'm not hard on controllers. They should still work. In regards to the game, I suggest going with whatever genre you enjoy the most. Personally, I have enjoyed Kameo, Madden/TopSpin, Marvel Alliance, Gears of War, and Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved from the XBox Live Arcade is highly recommended. (steer clear of Blazing Angels and the Outfit).

Well, there have been a lot less problems recently, most issues were from launch consoles. A great game imo would be Oblivion, it will last you a while because of all of the things to do. And I don't know if MGS4 will come to the 360 or not.
