games on demand is really weird. theyll have some games for good to atleast understandable prices.

then they have 3 year old games for 40$

its not even the price i mind its the middle finger in my face.

i like games on demand, i dont have to wrry about the game getting scratched, lost, stolen or borrowed and i dont have to switch disks

but thats DOUBLE the price of the game now, which is pretty much the standard for GoD. (hitman, bioshock, mass effect, and countless others going 2x their instore prices)

i would ask for you input but itll all just be hate so ill say that.

why do you hate games on demand? (or, for a select few, myself barely included, why dont you hate it?)

to be fair, it's suggested retail price is $40 right now. it's $40 at best buy, target and most electronic stores. amazon has it for $32 though.

I thought that game was $29.99.

Either way $30 for CoD2 is a little steep since you can get a used copy for $12 at EB. :?

The only issues I have with games on demand are: the selection is limited, I can't play them unless I have a connection to the internet, and original xbox games completely disconnect you from xbox live- no messaging, no party, no who's online, no streaming music from my zune, etc.

I don't like it much either, but what can you do... It has been that price since games on demand came out... And it hasn't dropped... So either Microsoft doesn't care or people are buying it...

Just so you know, most platinum hits games are $30 (unless they are the EA games released yearly, then they are usually $20)... It isn't like on PS2 where a game was out for 5 months and then it became a greatest hits and was in a bin at Walmart for $20... Games usually stay around the $50-$60 mark (depending on where you buy it) for a year sometimes... And then only drop to $30-$40 once they are platinum hits...

I am only mad about games like Hitman... I really wanted to buy it and replay it (owned it once before), but I don't want to spend $30 on a 4 year old game, that I already have 1000 gamerscore in, that is SP only, and that I can't sell back once finished... Seems like a mighty big rip...

well i havent seen it for for 26$ (which is what i bought it for) in months and its 20$ at my ebgames

granted those are used prices, but its a digital download

it going for 40$ is insane, under the illusion that its "new" is ridiculous seeing as not a tangible object and therefore cannot be new or used

and new retail copies costing 40$ (even if its the game of the year edition) is a joke, its a great game, but its old as hell (relativly) and isnt rare at all

im not sayin it should be 20$ either, 30$ would be acceptable, but 40$ is not, even if the "suggest reatil" is still 40

and while were on the topic (kinda) i got the game new for 40$ the same month it came out (then broke it and bought it again for 26 used)

arghh!!! thats why i dont shop at any of the above listed retailers, 40$ is a scam, and although i will throw my money away on useless crap, i will not allow myself to be scammed

their all steep as hell anyone of the games on demand you can get half price if you look for five mins but if you want a digital copy of said game, your hands are tied...and you legs are bound... and your hangin from a meat hook in a freezer... and...

This is why you gotta do a little research. Buy.com/Amazon.com would sell it way cheaper. Or you could just buy it used at a fraction of the price.

Games on Demand isn't being unreasonable, it's just being normal... That's about the price everywhere.

cod 4 is 29,99 not 40 ,, i got it for a steal of 8.00 plus tax at my pawn shop for the 360 paid 49,99for ps3 version day oneor week 2 we

but ne way

advice

dont buy from games on demand unless your tired of replacing games like me after5 gtas im ready to just buy it off gon demand but nope ill stick to my disc cause even if it fcant get scratched it can get deleted takes hdd space and if servers go down ,,,chances of you redownloading are slim also you can not play it on any 360 without being online on one you didnt buy it for

so -get the disc stop complaining

and you know whats a middle finger to the face is when acompany such as ea ubi and sega force you to buy new or pay 10 more for multiplayer features ,

why should i pay 60 for a 2 hour fps , when i can get that same expeirence for 5-some times 30-40 less at my pawn shop 5 would be at gamestop

meh oh well ill pay 400 ms points if i have to , cause it still will save me at least 20 dollars , or 30 ,even , then payin 60 for someservice i know wont last 1 yr before the community of the said game is near its last legs

I just looked it up (correct me if I'm wrong) but Assassin's Creed (the first game) sells for £19.99 on games on demand. Converted to US dollars that's about 28$, maybe even rounded to 30$. I bought the first Assassin's Creed used over a year ago for 15$. Used, with the physical disc, over a year ago = half the price of a game on demand, with no physical copy, needs HDD space, bought years after released.. Yeah.. don't get scammed.

Yea, but one good thing about it is that you don't have to worry about disks. But they are way overpriced even though NEW Cod4 GFTY Edition on amazon is $31.00 but on ebay around $12-20.

Here in the UK I saw Cod4 for £20 ($28 ) new or £12 ($17) preowned at Gamestation today. You shouldn't even bother to look on the Games On Demand section anyway - most of them are more expensive compared to the retailers.

games on demand has never been a shop for the bargain hunters or anyone remotely interested in paying a fair amount for a game

If it makes you angry, dont support it. Go eBay and grab it up for $20 or less.

it's all on Activision. games, normally in high demand always take longer to decrease in price.

Nintendo STILL prices Mario Galaxy at the original $50, and that game was like 3 years ago and a sequel is literally days away.

supply/demand really. even though supply is virtually infinite, demand keeps the prices up.

buy used. all there is for now.
