Its funny cuz parents will let their kids blow people away in games, get headshots, chainsaw people in half, but show them a little booby or anything sexual and they go apesh!t. Only in America.

I was playing Die Hard games on Sega Saturn when i was 6 or 7 years old, and I turned out fine. Also, I'm one of the top of my year (11th Grade) in school, and I have just decided that it is playing violent video games as a child is the reason for my intelligence. i win!

What i have to Add at this point is that I think its kinda sad how parents let there kids play mature rated games, even to the point of obbsesion. I have been playing halo for almost 4 years now and not to long ago i came across some kid talking smack to me and decided to challenge him to a 1 on 1. I figured it would be a nice simple game but i lost 20 - 18. suprised!I figured this kid had no life or he was making his brother play for him because through

out the whole game he kept saying how much i suked like he was so big evrytime he killed me or i killed him. so go ahead and post your "wow you probably do suck" reasponses while i just say we might have a bigger problem on our hands then we realize.

I was playing with a kid that sounded like he was 14 or so earlier, and he kinda pissed me off, but I just let him have his way and nodded politely because I really don't feel like having an arguement with a snot-nosed kid over a video game.

The only thing more annoying than them is people like you making topics like these.

All you can do is try to be a positive, good role-model for the kids. People of all ages should be able to sit down and enjoy a game no matter how old they are. I wouldn't want to be 30-something someday, sit down and try to play a game and have a bunch of people say I'm too old or something you know, it's all about respect.

Also, violent video games don't corrupt children, bad parenting does. My brothers and I have been playing violent video games since Doom was released and we've never had a sense of aggression afterward, unless I was beat by one of them in multiplayer, but that could be any game.
