If you are ever going to use Live (even if it's just silver) then get the HDD.

 get the hard drive, it has way more space and if you plan on using XBL your gonna need it

If you buy the premium console you will get the 20 gig hard drive with it anyway, and as everyone else has said, you'll need it if you ever plan to go on Live.

yeah that one. might as well wait for them to confirm that its not coming out before you buy the current one.

the 20GB HD definitely, but if you insist on the memory unit, then wait until MS releases the new 250MB one.

They are pretty much going to require a HDD from now on, just spend the extra 60 bucks, get the wireless controller and all the other extras it comes with.
