its a ripoff, they should let u change it for free, wats it cost them?bolt2448


It doesn't cost them anything...but to say it should be free is illogical. Think what would happen if it WERE free. People would change their gamertag by the week, gamertags would go in and out of availability...it would suck.

They charge the 800 to make people put a little more thought into a lasting gamertag.

it funny cause it could mess up your account....this one kid i was playing with was dared to add penis to the front of his name(we just kidding) and he actually went and did it. and he couldnt sign on....so he had to change it back.....Thats 1600 poitns down the drain! We still make fun of him!

It should NOT be free. No one would ever find a gamertag. But it should be like 250-300 points if anything.

Hi .. I do agree that MS should charge for the change in gamertag .. but for new people who are not familiar with gamertags like me when I started 3 months ago .. they should allow one free change and then charge whatever amount after that .. I hope they do this coz i dont wanna pay for changing just gamertag though I hate my tag lasfaiz .. I might still pay for it coz i seriously hate my tag as it doesnt goes with my gaming personality ..

... I am so happy i got my pisol and torque bow acheivement for GOW yestd both in the same match .. AWESOME
