Why did the new Oblivion expansion get an 8.6? Oblivion got like a 9.6 or something right? This new expansion is supposed to be really good, so you would think it would get like the same score?

Everyone knows, the only expansion packs that get more then 9.0 are blizzards.

Why does it matter? 8.6 is still a really good score.

While it is definitely worth the money (I believe about $25 worth of MS Points), you could argue that it is not equivalent to 5/12 of Oblivion. When you take into account that the main game cost only $60 (waaaay underpriced if you ask me), then the Shivering Isles expansion isn't really a good deal. I don't agree with that logic, but GS could be viewing it that way.

Yeah, expansions tend to get lower rating for some reason.  Could be a number of reasons.

Well I dont ever go by someone elses scores...I go by what I like....But..it was just kind of there and I thought I would get some other opinions on the score and the game itself....
