Ok, so here in a couple of days I'm gonna buy a 360, there aren't any good games coming out for the Wii soon and it has bored me. I like open-ended games that give me a lot to do and I think I have it narrowed down to these three:

Dead Rising

TES: Oblivion

Saints Row

But for the life of me I can't choose which one to get first because I'll only have enough extra money for one game. Which one of these games do you think I should buy, and do you think there is a different one I should try? Thanks.

I try VERY hard to saty away from any form of sports game, and I'll save the shooters for a later date. Right now I just want a long, open-ended game.

I have Oblivion for the PC, 25hours into it and probably a fraction of the way through the main storyline. Theres so much to do in that game, yet it never really forces you to do anything.

I like all of the above, hence the reason I can't choose one. I had also thought about Crackdown, but I think I would like Saints Row better than it.

i would choose oblivion, and if you want to add a game to your list gears of war is an awesome game. Its pretty good online and so is the campaign mode.

I'd say Oblivion if you want a good long open ended game, but if you want a GTA style game then got for Saints Row as its a very fun game but then again so is Oblivion. i got Dead Rising cheap not long ago and found that it was quite hard and frustrating, not to mention abit boring despite loving the demo, the full game isn't all that great.

Out of those 3, Oblivion is the way to go, big time.

I know you say you are thinking about just those 3 games, but I would also consider getting Gears as your next game, maybe even before Oblivion.  Gears is really that good, but of coarse, if you dont have Xbox live, maybe not.

While all of them are pretty good, Oblivion DEFINITELY has the longest play time and greatest replay value, making it by far the best choice. It's an amazing game, with tons of extra content to get, too.

Gears is so overrated, but that's my opinion, I got bored of the online after 3 days.

For a really good open ended game, try The Godfather.  You can get it for a decent price now and it has a TON of stuff to do, I like it better than Saint's Row.  I say that because I find the side missions in Godfather to be a lot more fun, the ones in Saint's Row are all pretty similar (except for something like Insurance Fraud, but that gets old after a bit).  Don't let Godfather's score fool you, its a good game.

As it stands now, it would seem Oblivion would be my first choice, followed by gears of war. anyone else have something to say?

Heres the order I bought mine

-dead rising

-saints row

-oblivion (have it on pc already so thats why I bought it last)

In terms of which game is more addictive... I would say its a draw between oblivion or saints row...

I beat dead rising and got dissapointed by the ending I recieved... so I havn't bothered re playing it, though it is a really good game...

Oblivion is an excellent game which will keep you occupied for months.  But it does get frustrating after a while and loses some of its charm.  Kameo is a fun game and GRAW are good games also.  They are $20.00 each leaving you some cash left over.

I, once again, cannot stress the greatness of Viva Pinata enough.

At least get the demo.

SonicDivision

I heard it was like a cross between animal crossing and harvest moon, but in a good way. I probably will get it at some point, just not as my first game.
