About the Aug. 11 update...

What do you think the "Display Options" improvements will be? It says that it will allow for HDMI to be shown in the highest resolution possible and the ability to override the signal that is being sent to your TV. Does that mean I will be able to correct the overscan and show HDMI in my TV's native resolution of 1366x768? I only use the HD VGA cable because HDMI looks terrible, even though I have calibrated my TV for it. Could the picture quality of HDMI finally surpass the HD VGA cable for my TV with this update?

My vga cable is set on 1080p so I dont know if the update will bring a higher resolution or not.

Hey slipknot, I remember you. Yeah, I just hope they improve HDMI so that it looks better than VGA so I don't have to keep switching between my computer and 360. One cable is just easier.

VGA can support 1080p as well. It was the first format for the 360 that could support it. You're wrong about that and it depends on the TV you have (regarding picture quality of VGA and HDMI).
