Act 3 Fish Monster Boss on Gears 2 Insane - How do you beat it?

I've tried many times, get through the first tentacle wave, then shoot it in the eye 3 times, the 3rd time you run in, shoot the blue things, then grenade in the mouth sure, then saw the tentacle again. Then he keeps chomping the boat, and if you don't back up you die from getting smashed or he brings it down. I keep shooting the eye with my friend, but we cannot get past the second phase there.

None of the online guides give good Insane tactics. Anyone have a concrete strategy or able to tell me what I'm doing wrong after I saw the tentacle the 2nd time after the grenade in the mouth part? I can never survive past then.

Any good links? Anything would be greatly appreciated.

You have to go inside his mouth again and do the same thing, shoot the tentacles and drop a nade in its mouth. Not sure if you have to repeat 2 or 3 times.BigDaveyDogz

I played it on co-op my friend shot the eyes and I got as close to it as possible with out being eaten so that I could get in there as fast as possible took only two tries because he tried to go in after me and got wrecked

I am able to sneak into his mouth with ease on the 3rd shot to the eye on the first wave, but I keep shooting his eye to open the mouth and he ALWAYS closes it and kills me before I can get in on the second attempt to get in and grenade him.SemiMaster
